The Pecadiloes - everything they've ever done - best 'local' band ever. :D Elliot was an expert bloke in eyeliner! Loved them so much. The bassist (Elli) ran off with the keyboardist (Ian, his best mate)'s gf - emigrated to Australia, how intense is that!

ooh I love stuff like that - choral, chanting, etc. I was quite disappointed not to hear any in Egypt! I'm going to get some chanting cds so I know I'm getting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo correct... :angel:

They are good - probably the best cathedral choir in the country to be honest, one of at least (IMV) - Not counting Oxbridge choirs like Kings College for the simple reason they're not cathedral choirs. :P

Callas - Voice of the Century. She's just rattling through a bit of Manon at the moment. I can't understand it, but it sounds like he's left her and she's about to hit the gin and Valium, such is the way in opera.

[edit] I tell a lie. The track listing is all wrong - Windows Media Player :rolleyes: It's from Le Cid "Pleurez mes yeux" and apparently, "Chimène is in love with Rodrigue. However, Rodrigue killed her father in a duel because her father insulted Rodrigue's father. Torn between the loves she has for both of them, she realizes that there is no outcome which will not be touched by sorrow and heartache" Hmmm.

Can't really beat a really good boy singer but they don't come along very often - at the moment, Carolyn Sampson's my favourite soprano, her Handel duets with Robin Blaze (who is totally awesome) is desert island, off the scale. :)

Yep, I'm a big fan of Way Out West.
The Cafe Del Mar CD's are great too.

For those that don't know WayOut West, they are nothing to do with cowboys and western's.
They are a UK duo (Jody Wisternoof & Nick Warren) of progressive house/breaks group that have been around for years.
The track "Domination" off their first album is quality as is their two other albums "Intensify" and "Don't Look Now" which features a bonus Cd and a collaboaration with ambient/experimental artist Ulrich Schnauss.

Elton John Ft. Anastacia: Saturday Night's Alright (for fighting).

I really don't know why Anastacia insists on doing the music she does (I like it, but it gets boring after a while), her voice is brilliant for more rocky numbers such as this. If fact, although they did it at an Elton John concert, he is very much a backing singer.
