Yes we had a lovely time Tinky and the weather dried out by dinnertime and on Tuesday we are off to Looe and the weather forecast looks promising as well for that one.:)

My 9 year old Nephew's team won a footy tournament, beating the favourites in a penalty shoot out, with him scoring the winning goal

I just had a letter from the DWP saying that I'm moving onto ESA on Julyu the 9th.

They tell me I've been put in the support group which I think is the one I wanted.

What's odd though is after I sent off all the stuff to ATOS I never heard a thing this is thee first I heard, so it looks like I didn't need an assessment after all.

I do feel a lot less stressed now, but no doubt I will be told I am just being even more of a bum as I didn't have to do a test.

Excellent, must be a huge relief for you both. :tu:

I got a telephone call from the DWP to let me know that I was being put into the support group and no need for a medical, way before I got any paperwork through to confirm it.

ESA is set between 1-3 years before re-assessments, so I'm gearing up already for the next round.

Spot on Den.

Very pleased for you dilli. You too peanut. We hear too much about genuine cases being missed so it's good to hear that the powers that be can get some decisions right.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4

Cheers Jo, I recieved my results just before last Christmas from my assessment. I then requested an ESA65a (or 85a) form to find out the results and for how long I was awarded for and it was for 1 year. I think most are for one year before you get re assessed.

So I'm looking (or rather not looking) forward to go through it all again around September time, just in time for Christmas again. Luckily I did the ESA50 form on a pdf so hopefully just a case of reprinting it out and sending it straight off with the same letters from the GPs and consultants as nothing will have changed for the better (I'm not sure they understand what degenerative means).

The stress of it all is crazy you can never relax or take anything for granted.

It's the ones that have to go through the medicals and the appeals I really feel sorry for. How I'd cope with going through that I don't know. The waiting is terrible.

Off to the O2 tomorrow night to see The Pet Shop Boys with my mum, and we're going to make a day of it in London too. I did try to convince her to walk over the O2 but she's having none of it :D

I do feel a lot less stressed now, but no doubt I will be told I am just as deserving as anyone.

There, fixed that for you. Well done in getting what you want. :)
