They've got City vs United, Liverpool vs Everton, the mighty Arsenal against the Spuds.

Swansea vs Cardiff will dwarf all of them in terms of emotion.

Newcastle (Brown Ale) vs. Sunderland begs to differ.

I'm sure they would as I'm equally sure they've never seen a Welsh derby before.

Not many have seen one considering the size of stadiums involved. Still come the end of next season when one or hopefully both are relegated back to where they feel most comfortable the Welsh derby will be up there with el classico, boca vs river and the old firm.

Exactly the sort of attitude that makes beating English clubs in their own league all the more satisfying.

I suspect you do find it satisfyingly, which is strange as most English supporters couldn't give a toss about the wee clubs let alone find anything particularly satisfying in beating them. Probably says a lot about your psyche.

Apparently, never really got the multi club supporter myself but Russ finds it satisfying.

Lol, good one. Still reckon United are going down the pan like West Ham? Honestly you had me chuckling for months at that one :D

Yeah, as do tens of thousands of others.

Most fans of English clubs really don't care if the team is from Wales or not. Swansea are actually quite popular. There are jokes about Wales of course but this is just football, it's done for everyone. Liverpool get the stuff about signing on, United mostly get jibes about their support being in Surrey, London teams get stuff about being southern and soft, Wigan get stuff about being a rugby town and so on. Whatever regional stereotype fits. I think most fans of Welsh clubs understand it's banter but they need to get a thicker skin if they think it's a England vs Wales thing as most fans really don't care. Cardiff, Swansea, Stoke, Liverpool, London, Manchester. It's all the same at the end of the day, they're just the same as everyone else.

I pretty much agree. But when English fans have a clear anti-Wales bias we're only too happy to step up :)

Yeah, as do tens of thousands of others.

Considering they're still playing the old timers and they're even older now it was hardly an unfair assumption and since when is being premier league and moving to a new stadium going down the pan, utd would love to have our debt instead of their own I'm sure and I'm glad I made you laugh, reminds me of the time you compared winning the league cup to a champions league final...
