It is being reported by gother on Digital Spy that Amazon is set to arrive on VM this autumn. He believes that this will be Amazon Prime Video only, with the PPV and Amazon channels stripped out, which makes sense.

If this proves to be right, I shall be extremely pleased, and also more hopeful that this is the firm direction VM will be taking in the future. I have long believed that VM should market their V6 as a streaming box with cable channels - I am absolutely convinced that this would be popular with the public.

I'm only reporting what gother said, Den, and he does get some useful information.

Given that LG backed off the earlier discussions due to what is believed to be the addition of the Amazon channels, the news that we will get a version that strips out these and the PPV material appears to make sense.

Of course, which is why I used phrases such as 'it has been reported' and 'if this proves to be right'....

I never said it was a certainty, and this is the first I have heard of this development. There appear to be no links to back up this information at this stage.
