Cristiano, Bale + Rodríguez cost Real Madrid around €265M: more than what Ajax have spent on transfers (€232M) since their founding in 1900.

Yes that is right but with the money they make from everything they can afford it as its one of the most powerful brands around.

Greg Dyke "We have already made a decision that we will not bid for Fifa tournaments while Sepp Blatter is there because we won't win. Mr Blatter sees the allegations (about corruption in Qatar's bid) as an attack on Fifa by the British press. Our decision is to try and concentrate in the years ahead on hosting Uefa tournaments. I don't think we should walk out of Fifa because within a week everyone has forgotten you and I don't think that sort of gesture-politics would help. I think trying to reform through Uefa and from the inside is the better way forward."

According to the Daily Fail, Messi considered a move to Arsenal whilst the Fabregas issue was up in the air. Arsenal would have had to have parted with £197 million as that is the minimum release fee. Add in the wages, and the deal would probably have cost near to £300 million.
