Glad you can now admit your biased view is getting the better of you :tu:

People are permitted alternative opinions; that they are different does NOT make them wrong.

Not biased at all. Just didn't edit the quoted text down to the bit I was referring to.

(I get "told off" for editing quotes too much but if I don't, this is what happens :))

And I never said otherwise.

You still can't see it! You accuse of others of having an anti-PRS bias yet you fail to see your own pro-bias.

Not saying there's anything wrong with having a bias. But I see little value in denial.

The topic does seem to have gotten rather lost.Perhaps if we stick to it we might get less stressed and avoid saying things we really shouldn't.

Off topic post removed.

Mmm, the ignore feature, best invention for a forum, especially where Mr C is concerned.

Yea I've read plenty of horror stories about the TV license team and their bully boy tactics

Mind you, I'm one of those who is opposed to the license fee full stop, heh

But the PRS seem like a more volatile group than even the BBC License team, which is, well, scary.

This is interesting.

I wonder how long before making a cuppa during the adverts will be seen as a copyright violation.

Nice not-having-any-basis-in-reality straw-man argument there...

You normally make some very good points about civil liberties and inappropriate copyright management - that wasn't one of them.;)

Getting heartily sick of people taking veiled potshots at each other. The team will be fracking, most severely, the very next off topic post. No further warnings will be issued.

No. You've read about a few, isolated cases that were so bad they made "news". Whilst they are bad there is no evidence to suggest that they are the norm.[/quote]

You're also against Parks, Libraries, Schools and the NHS then, I assume? We all have to pay for those even if we don't use them; which is the same principle as the LF. (Then again, that's OT for this thread so I'll leave it there.)

Again, one or two "read it on the internet" stories does not make it the norm.
