Grafite, Dzeko, Misimovic, Martins and co are going to overcome Man United tonight. Convincingly too.

If i'm wrong, please feel free to mock me and put it down to an overzealous love of German football. If i'm right, feel free to bask in my brilliance - and more importantly, Wolfsburg's.

This was a wind up, right?

No worries, there's still the return match and Dzeko came through; i was right for about 2 minutes at least. ;)

I can see it being a really tough game away, their strikers looked good on the counter attacks tonight so at home they should be good. Their defence doesn't look the best though, i thought it could have been 4 or 5 for United tonight.

As much of a donkey as he might be, i thought he played pretty well. You basically took control of the game as soon as he came on.

Oh yeah he had a good game. Can't score for toffee though.

On another note, is it 9 in 7 now for Ronaldo?

I don't care what other people say, but for me he's the best player in the world without question, better then Messi, Kaka etc. I thought i would dislike him after he left United, but i have found myself being happy to see him scoring and doing well for Madrid. I find it astonishing how quickly he's adapted to Spanish football and is one of the reason's why he's the best in the world for me.

Manchester City's Emmanuel Adebayor has been fined £25,000 and given a suspended two-match ban following his goal celebration against Arsenal.

The right decision if you ask me (i am a blue though), sport wouldn`t be sport if you couldn`t give the opposition fans some stick

Imagine how dull the game would be if there weren`t any away fans!

It is weird though how an organisation like the FA can fine a player 25k and the UK courts can't impose any near a fine on actual criminals :nono:

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010

But 25k to Adebayor is about the same as £25 to a normal person.

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010

Still though you don;t see the courts fining footballers £25K for speeding!!!

No, because they'd be tried in a criminal court. Adebayor was basically tried by the governing body. It's like the FIA giving McLaren that £100m fine a couple of years ago. No court of law would give them that, but a governing body would.

Does anyone know what's going on a Spurs? The odds of Harry Rednapp leaving have been cut from 50/1 to 2/1. According to William Hill he is the most likely manager to leave beating Phil Brown who is priced at 3/1!
