That was the best game of football, that l have seen this season. Its appalling that United players have decided to perform 'diving performances' again.

Its about time refs, got paid for what they achieved Webb had a poor decision day and should have shown more cards.

I can Moyes losing his job this year - Definately wont win the league and aslo might not get into to four - not good enough for Utd.

It is possibly best tottenham game, not best game of all teams.

I seem to remember everyone saying that Man Utd had an advantage, as moyes was experienced premier league manager. Hmmm

United fans are used to being involved in Europe, l think they will be unlucky this term. That is what could spell the end of Moyes, who l have never rated as a top manager.

Man Utd are a big club and deserve a bigger manager. Did you see at the end of the game that Rooney went to Webb to complain about something - nothing unusaul there.

Just got back from OT, I go down on the Metrolink tram and knew it was not going to be a good day when some moronic idiot threw a brick at the tram as we passed under a bridge. I was sat right at the front and there was a huge bang as the windscreen cracked, thankfully it did not shatter. We all had to debark at the next stop and wait for the next one.

TBH Spurs didn't look that good but apart from the first 10 minutes United were dreadful from front to back.

Arthurgray50@blu 01-01-2014 21:46

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window

Spurs were brilliant, thats from a fan for over thirty years. United kept on doing the dirty tricks as per usual. The only decent player from United was Welbeck.

IF, United dont get into Top Five - then bye bye Moyes.

iadom 01-01-2014 21:59

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window

Apart from the goal Welbeck was poor, the same as the rest of the team, made a very average Spurs side look good, even though United did have nearly double the attempts on goal they never really threatened.

colin25 01-01-2014 22:10

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window

I don't see Welbeck as the right type of player for man utd. Man utd doesn't need a diver. He cheapens them. A good team does not need that type of player.

iadom 01-01-2014 22:43

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window

Even with his recent goals I have never been a Welbeck fan, he reminds me of the old style players that first came out of Africa 35/40 years ago, very loose limbed, a bit gangly and awkward, some occasional great touches but no real close control to speak of. He stumbles past people a lot of the time. Adeybayor is a similar type of player as well.

I'm not sure about it tbh but Arsenal game would probably be better suited to him than Utds, or Fulhams right now. That said there isn't any doubt he has quality and it'll really annoy Tottenham. Anyway Gary Neville agrees with you...

I don't believe theres a deal in place. Morata wants to fight it out and learn at RM, he isn't too bothered about playing more elsewhere but that may change and if it does then Tottenham most probably know he'll follow Ozil.

You can tell it's a users vote then, Steven Gerrard? Tim Howard? heh. God help us if Heskey was still in the league.

As for Berbatov, stay well clear, brilliant at times but one of the laziest players I've had the joys of watching. It annoys the crap out of me watching him walk around the pitch after the ball for Fulham.

Moyes - Hypocrite, Mourinho too in regards to diving. Infact forget it, all managers play the same card when it comes to diving, then defend their own antics to the moon and back. Pardew admitted Debuchy deserved red, +1 for him, fails to acknowledge Loic Remy throwing himself to ground all the time -1.

Never saw him play, was to young, he was the first player I saw referred to as a wonder kid though, hammers had one around the same time that I really liked called Eamonn Dolan, scored goals for fun in the youth team but injuries and cancer put paid to his career, think he's a coach at reading now, very sad cases of what might have been for both.

Not sure how much i would pay, but remembering that a good striker is worth paying a premium, given the dross you could buy for £35 million..eg Carroll :D

In spite of nffc's protestations, Rochdale are one of the three teams I follow/support, born in Rochdale, taken to my first ever game of football at what was then Wilbutts Lane by my grandfather, many moons ago now.;)

As a Red as well, seeing the Dale beat Leeds was really sweet.
