Yep sound without using the amp when I'm watching SD normal TV and can turn amp off.

How do I know if my amp has HDMI pass through. It's a Yamaha RX V1900.

Switch the amp into standby and see if you still get picture and sound on the TV.

It doesn't ----- I have the same amp. I think passthrough came in from the model that replaced it (2065), or the next one (2067).

I am hoping this happens sooner rather than later IMO

Virgin will potentially face the same issues as they go from using the legacy delivery system of VOD (streaming MPEG 2), to using TiVo's broadband connection (streaming MPEG 4) to provide content from other on-demand providers like 4oD, Demand Five and Warner.

Why, if its likely to result in teething problems?

I'd rather Virgin took their time to learn the lessons of the 15.2/I Player issues first.

How many times do you need to record three things and watch something on demand at the same time?

The only time I've seen 3 being used is recording the football in HD and the box recommending the same football in SD.

My box is using all three tuners at the moment and also none of them are suggestions.

Edit: It will go down to 2 tuners in 2 mins.
