Beef grill steaks marinated in home made Teriyaki (Fresh crushed ginger root, garlic, sugar, soy sauces, Mirin and rice wine) Oven broiled. Roasted courgettes, carrots, parsnips and sweet potatoes.

SWMBO is out with her bestie for a post-Christmas catch-up drink/meal, taking our regular table at a local restaurant.

So, in the interest of balance I’ve cooked myself a 14oz ribeye steak, chips, mushrooms, peppercorn sauce, being washed down with a Tasmanian Pinot Noir.

A Beef steak burger with chilli halloumi cheese in a brioche bun.

Rump steaks (Lidl) griddled medium-rare together with mushrooms and onion. Oven chips and beer battered onion rings. Peas, bearnaise sauce and ketchup.

Bottle of Turner Road Californian Chardonnay.

Oat seeded wholemeal deli rolls filled with sliced pork, Dijon mustard, thin sliced tomatoes, iceberg lettuce and mayo.
