Baked Camembert with a cranberry relish (dipping breadsticks into it), then for main course steak, chips, and mushrooms (fillet for SWMBO, rib-eye for me).

Some fizz and red may be imbibed...

Got some brisket slow pot roasting for later.

Slow pot roasted brisket. (Your mouth will worship you for ever) Roasted taters and parsnips. Steamed carrots and sprouts. Gravy from the pot roast. Creamed horseradish to serve.

I hovered-over our lad whilst he made a dozen mince pies and mincemeat strudel with the leftovers. Slow going but he almost got the hang of it.
