Oh weenie, what a prat you have for a neighbour and how lucky you are to have the proof that your son did nothing wrong. I doubt if the Police will take any formal action against her at this stage as it wouldn't be cost effective.

Last Wednesday evening hubby allowed our son to reverse his car up our driveway while he was moving mine. Long story short we had a visit from the police stating that they had received a call saying that we were allowing our son who is 15 to drive on a public highway but were not willing to say who reported the incident. My eldest son took over as he is doing law and explained that our neighbour has a interdict against her, he showed them the dashcam footage in where they said that they were happy that no crime had been committed as this was clearly on private land, he also offered to them CCTV footage which they said was no need as they were satisfied that no crime had taken place. My eldest son said that he suspected that it was our neighbour who reported his brother and if his suspicion was correct would they please have a word with her as she knows this was private land due to the court case as both parties were in receipt of the surveys and he suggested the only crime that has been committed in his opinion was was by our neighbour and since he has given proof of our court case with our neighbour along with showing video footage, if his suspicion is correct and that she was the one who reported this incident surely this can be classed as wasteful employment of police time by knowingly making a false report since she knew this was our private property and not a public highway. When my son mentioned our neighbour again the police said so you have a disgruntled neighbour and my son said well you could say that but I can understand being upset at losing a court case and having to pay all costs but just because you have a interdict preventing you from harassing my parents that does not give you the right to use Police Scotland for harassment.

The police have since been at my neighbours house I can only hope that if it was her who reported my youngest son they take my eldest sons advice and explain to her about wasting police time and more importantly that she was the only one who committed a crime as she knew without doubt that this was private land as she has a copy of the land register (title deeds)

I think this proves our suspicion that this was once again my delightful neighbour trying to cause upset to us. I have asked my son if the police will now tell us if it was her that reported his brother and he said no but he is keeping a file just in case this should happen again then he said he will be asking the police to press charges as I really don't need this at the moment or anytime. Will this woman never learn how many times will it take for her to learn or is she really that unintelligent...

Anyway I have more things to worry about atm than this silly woman! but I just can't stop crying at the moment I just do not know how much I can take tbh.

Yes the dash cam footage really helped along with the offer of CCTV the best money we have spent by far :) and to think that we thought these would be used to prove a crime never thinking it would prove no crime has been committed. Our neighbour knows that there is CCTV as she also complained about this when it was getting fitted something about her right for privacy whereas our other neighbours were delighted as one of the camera's covers there driveway so the way they see it is they have CCTV with no expense to them. Our cameras only film our back garden, front garden and our driveway the camera just under the back eave captures the driveway from the back overlooks our other neighbours driveway and like I have said they are more than delighted with there cars being filmed.

We do nash but she seems obsessed with my household last year she said at a chance meeting at the bank Happy New Year then in the same breathe I'm going to get you this year  It is pretty obvious that she thought at last she had something on us but we don't do anything if boring people were a crime then she could have us convicted LOL as honestly we are the most boring people in the world last week when the police came it was at 11 minutes after 9 and I was in my Pyjamas just about to go to bed.

Having to re-plan part of our Californian trip next month, as around 50-60 miles of the Pacific Coast Highway has been cut off by landslides.

We will probably just take the 101 from Carmel to Cambria, rather than our previous plan to follow the PCH (missing out on a lot of marvellous scenery).

Nope but I wish for that everyday SnoopZ, the trouble we both have is that we would need to declare our dispute over land etc along with the court case. I would need to declare that she has a interdict against her and that she not only has CCJ but is also known for her antisocial behaviour then there is the fact that her insurance company felt the need to give her a reservation of rights letter so therefore it would be very difficult for her to be able to get buildings insurance. I know I would run away from the sale no matter how much I loved the house and that is why my hubby and I have fitted a new kitchen and done up the house as we ain't going anywhere till we be guaranteed full market value of our home.

Anyway we will be here far longer than her anyway :D

It's hard to ignore her when she gets the police involved, at least if she tries it again there will already be a record on file of her false allegations, she might even end up being arrested with luck, until then don't give her the head space, it's obviously what she wants

It is very hard TD but I can assure everyone that we are not the sort of family to play her games as I think she would love nothing more than a game of tit-for-tat. I admit I have in the past wanted to ask what is her problem but I suspect that would have her dancing with utter glee cos then she would know what she is doing is bothering us. What really bothers me is the fact she continues with such malice and childish behaviour towards us even after the talking too she received from the Judge as his exact words to her were Mrs XXXX it is my opinion that your a social nuisance who thinks it is alright to cause nuisance or annoyance to your neighbours, Mrs XXXX you ignored all advice from both legal teams as well as your insurance company Mrs XXXX you even declined the offer of mediation when your neighbours (us) contacted the council. Mrs XXXX this is unacceptable behaviour and on the proof I have before me I have no option but to grant a interdict against you and order you pay all costs.

@ Weenie - There are some people you just can't reason with and sadly your neighbour is one such. The thing to do is remember that every minute you spend fretting about her antics is a minute you'll never have again and a minute she'd be delighted to have ruined for you. It's far better that you do what you do, post here, let off steam as you do then move on because in that way you are minimising the negative effect she has on your life and your family. :tu:

Weenie what is a interdict?

We are lucky with our neighbours either side were retired and we got alone, sadly late 2014 one died and his wife shortly after.

A couple moved in with young kids moved in and at least one has ADHD, but they are no problem, a little noisy but they are kids.

The other side is a woman who has schizophrenia, but again shes OK.

My worst neighbour is a woman two doors away who cannot park her small car (smallest Hyundai) in the space vacated by a large people carrier, the other week she was touching my dad rear bumper.

In England is called an injunction.

I know with my neighbours interdict against her it stops her doing many things.

She is not allowed to verbally assault me or my family, make abusive phone calls or do anything that can frighten alarm or distress us or anyone visiting my household.

It also prevents her from planting any form of tree species 2 meters from the boundary of our properties both front and back.

She also cannot step on our property without a invitation nor block my driveway, nor instruct anyone to use our property as access to maintain or carry out works to her property without permission from us the home owners unless it is a vital service then no permission will be needed.

She is not even allowed to ask workmen or anyone to carry out the duty of planting trees within 2 meters from our property.

The judge advised her that if the interdict is breached the possible punishments imposed by the court can include a fine or even imprisonment.

Our court case could not have went better for us and I'm just so grateful that we had legal cover through Direct Line something I had thought of cancelling but now would never be without!

That sucks, I'm sorry dilli. Way I feel tonight, you can have my heart kidneys, in face everything but eyes.

My moan is that I feel like work are trying to force me out by making working conditions unbearable. They know I hate one manager and one worker, so they have dumped me with both of them permanently. Seriously, if I had seen the manager responsible for doing that today, I would have unloaded on her.

Never disown Mark as often big regrets often follow down the line.

Well first of all the doctor saw me this morning and was concerned at the oedema that has built up these past few weeks as that can cause considerable ongoing problems if it continues so its a continuation of the second diuretic and depending on blood tests a increased dose of the other diuretic is highly likely.

Because of the fluid retention a pretty severe itchy rash developed on large parts of the lower body thus they have prescribed 3 drugs for that as well.

Then this afternoon l had a home visit by my cardiac community nurse and a senior nurse who examined me considerably but also assessed me about having a special pressure mattress and raised higher bed aid or a electronic hospital bed so l await the decision on that in time.

Also l have to have a quick access heart scan to see if there has been a deterioration with my heart function and a MRI scan to see if there is everything untoward happening which has which has not been diagnosed currently.

These beds a amazing den as my Mum has both the hospital bed and the air mattress that gently moves. When my Mum had a little mobility she was also given a chair topper to help with sores etc the chair topper mattress was clear in colour filled with air that you just pumped up den I'm sure this was called a air mattress overlay that was suitable for single bed and chair use for chair use you just put it in a cover that had straps that went round the chair. In my opinion it looked like one of those Inflatable Lilo things only on a smaller scale so this maybe also an option as well as I know this also benefited my Mum in regards to her sores among other problems regarding her health. I know the NHS also supplies these for patients that need these.

Anyway den I hope you get the bed etc and your health improves take care and hugs and best wishes being sent your way.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8

Apologies for the long post.

I have a question that I'm looking for some unbiased answers on.

If you had a number of things to do like be home within the hour, make your family a meal, take your child to a club since your hubby is working and you and a other person were both asked who can go to the shops for me now as I need etc, is it taking the pee if that other person just simply ignores the person asking and continues to sit on the sofa and watch the tennis while shouting come on Andy. Hubby, both my son's and friends said this is taking the pee if one person is running trying to catch their tail and be expected to do this while the other person has nothing to do at that moment simply because that other person had nothing to do and knew how busy I was.
Well that is what happened to me last night.

What happened on Tuesday is my Dad phoned me at 4pm and said my Mum's nurse has phoned the GP and a prescription is waiting at the doctors so I left and picked this up from the doctors then went to Boots to get it. Then he asked me to do some shopping as my sister was busy I said he would have to wait till later if that was ok. To give you an idea of Tuesday it was that I left my house at 4pm got back home at 6pm then offered the wee one a subway as he was hungry as dinner was not happening as it had been put on hold for obvious reasons, took the wee one to his cadets at 6:45 then went from their to do my Dad's shopping, took the shopping to my parents at approximately 8pm only to find the sister who remember was too busy to do the shopping sitting in my parents drinking coffee with her hubby, then I left my parents house with my sister and her hubby still there despite being apparently busy and far too busy do any shopping at 9:10 I left my parents house to pick up my son from cadets at 9:30 then came home at 9:50 made us something to eat as remember we had no time for a dinner then I made hubby something to eat when he came in from his work at 11pm. That was my Tuesday evening.

So on two occasions this week alone this has happened which is not unusual as I find this is happening all the time, so I ask am I getting made a fool off?
Please tell me your view's whether that is posting or pm as I'm at my wits end and hubby is ready to blow with my sister he has said don't do it but I can't say no to my Dad especially given the situation. Hubby hurt me last night when he said that my Father has always treated me so differently from my sister and it has always astonished him at how differently we are treated, whereas my eldest son said that my father uses emotional blackmail on me as when I said to my Dad last night that I felt it was unfair to ask me to do so much when I had other commitments and my sister had none his reply was well you can just say no. My son said this is emotional blackmail is it?

Am I getting made a fool off and been treated like a doormat?

Because of the fluid retention a pretty severe itchy rash developed on large parts of the lower body thus they have prescribed 3 drugs for that as well.

Then this afternoon l had a home visit by my cardiac community nurse and a senior nurse who examined me considerably but also assessed me about having a special pressure mattress and raised higher bed aid or a electronic hospital bed so l await the decision on that in time.

Also l have to have a quick access heart scan to see if there has been a deterioration with my heart function and a MRI scan to see if there is everything untoward happening which has which has not been diagnosed currently.

Sorry to hear this Den but hope the results are good and you'll soon get it sorted.

Hello Mrs Doormat.

Learning to say NO!!!!!! is the hardest thing that a caring, considerate and downright nice person can ever try to do. Your Father uses emotional blackmail on you because he knows it works. As for your sister, well you already know my opinion of her.

I know that you are between a rock and a hard place but if you run yourself into the ground then your Dad will have to become a bit more accommodating as you will end up burning yourself out.

If your Father needs shopping, or anything that you know could wait, then tell him you will do it when you can.... maybe tomorrow.... and if he can't wait till then tell him to phone your sister and just step back and leave them to it. Do not get drawn into a guilt session. Do not carry on as you are doing sweetie. Decide what your priorities are and then gently say NO to the rest.

Your caring husband and son can see what is happening and obviously love you too much to sit back and keep their mouth's shut any longer. Sometimes we wear rose tinted specs when it comes to our families and it hurts when those glasses are removed.

Sending you the biggest virtual hug,

Jo

My sister's black Labrador's been diagnosed with cancer. They don't know how aggressive it's going to be. Poor old fella has been getting very tired recently and is on medication for joint pain. He's nearly 15 now so has had a good innings.

Agreed Jo. :tu:

@ weenie - Old folks often forget that their families have lives and get all worked up about the smallest of things or stuff that could wait a little. You can't really blame them but it does need to be spelled out from time to time. I had exactly the same issues with my dad in the year or two before he passed away and had to tell him more than once that we'd do our best to help him (he was carer for my mum) but he couldn't just expect us to drop everything every time something happened because we had quite enough on our plate caring for Osem Jnr # 2. For one reason or another he rarely ever asked anything of my siblings but, largely because we were there, we got all the grief and few of the thanks. He frequently wanted to ask my wife to take on the caring role for my mum when he was no longer there but I told him it would be totally unfair to put her in that situation as she already had enough on her plate. It's called being taken for granted, I'm glad I didn't carry on letting him do it to us and I don't feel the tiniest it guilty about it because I know we did far more for them than the rest of my family put together. That was especially true of my eldest retired millionaire brother who was always the favourite even though he never helped them and always tried to palm off what few duties he was asked to perform even right at the end, onto us. I finally told him to get stuffed too and I'm glad I did.

Aphids - especially the ones infesting my garlic chives. I've never seen anything quite like it, or them for that matter, especially on my chives. They seem to be specialists as they've not touched neighbouring plants - millions of tiny, black shiny little blighters who've just been treated to a nice cool soapy shower.

Yes i do but i find it too limited so i use the standard site, what i mean by that is when i use it in desktop mode i always click 'Todays posts' and i use the 'user cp' all the time also to see if i have any new posts in my subscribed threads, on the desktop site these both work but on the mobile site last time i checked they don't work as i expect them too or there isn't that option.

Maybe i will give it another go to see if there are any work arounds to my annoyances.

Awww... :hugs: ;)

It's terrible how dependent we're all becoming on the internet for everything. I'm trying my best not to go down that route with social media, banking etc. but we're gradually being pushed in the direction of virtually everything we do being online. All very well if it's total secure and reliable but of course it isn't.

Last week we were away and I only had access to the internet via my phone. I managed to post a couple of times here but can't say I missed being 'out of touch'...

Its not always terrible, many things I prefer to do online, like Banking & Shopping (and have done for almost 20 years now).

I cannot really be doing with "Social Media" (which is mostly anti social these days).
I probably spend about 5 minutes a day on Facebook, just to check on certain things, I would not miss it. I dont use Twatter, or any of the other things.

So many people seem permanantly glued to their phones these days, and cannot go five minutes without them.

Facebook has become an outrage conduit for halfwits; the intellectual baseline at which Corbyn and his militant cabal pitch their campaign.

A long time ago in a galaxy far away I remember when it was a convenient way of keeping in touch with friends, family abroad and interest groups related to hobbies and pastimes and not a platform upon which you're bombarded with vacuous, political soundbites.

Nearly got banned from my local hospital this evening. Went down to CT with my Nan and 4 porters from A&E were sat around in full earshot of the patients (and me) shouting and swearing, talking about oral sex. When my Nan told them they were rude, they were insulting to her. I was ready to go back round and punch them. Instead, I just said loud enough for them to hear that I would be making a formal complaint against them for their behaviour and then they can sit in the Jobcentre swearing and being rude to people.

Just watched a youtube tutorial on how to get down to the fan on the laptop (HP Probook 450 G3) I've virtually got to gut the thing. At least it gave the tip on how to get the keyboard out: lots of hidden clips. I can see the fan, it starts and stops randomly so maybe it's just a bad connection.

Thought I'd found all the T8 screws that secure the aluminium top and finger mouse, some were hidden by rubber bungs, but there's a couple more under the CD/DVD drive that also has to come out.. First thing is to get a suitable T8 driver.

Yep, they hope you'll either buy a new one or take it to an expensive repair shop.

Anyhow I've found a nice set of miniature bits with a few other tools like tweezers and plastic blades for a tenner on Amazon.

My VAIOs battery needs replacing, it doesn't help that I no longer have the battery manager software, which I lost thanks to a failed attempt to back up pre a Win 10 install which never happened.

The base is unvented just will need to work out which screws to remove.

l saw the consultant this morning after having some of dilli needles stabbed into me ;):waving: and the upshot is they are going to do a CT scan as they really don't want to do another colonoscopy on me given my other serious other long term medical conditions and his initial thoughts are that l suffer from IBS and that l have had some pretty bad bouts of it since my last operation.

You can try an over the counter drug called Buscopan which will help with stomach cramps and pain associated with IBS. Also try and do a food diary of some kind to narrow down what food or ingredient could be causing the problem. Luckily IBS can be controlled with a change of diet and lifestyle. At least you don't have to have a colonoscopy so that's good.

l will have to try that peanut but l just have to make sure it does not interact with all my other medication's.

l have changed my diet quite considerably and try to avoid foods that set it off and l have much smaller meals then l was having as he seems to think that all the stressful events that had happened in the last 10 months have set it off and sadly there have been a few of them.

Yes not having a colonoscopy was a relief :) as he said he was very wary of doing one of them because of my other complex medical conditions.

I hope they sort you out :tu:

Me - again they didn't do it as they ran out of absthetic. Which is twice I've been all worked up for it.

Thanks dilli as yes hopefully they can get it under control as l also have many other tests and scans coming up in the next 2 months as the phone lately has been ringing nearly every day with them arranging dates for all these things as we are away for a few weeks in a few weeks time.:)

Sorry to hear about your test not happening as l know what it is like as you prepare yourself for it and then it does not happen.:(
