Weather forecast first thing suggested this afternoon would be fine down here in the south-east so I planned to do a bit of gardening with the OH. It's absolutely chucking it down at the moment and the rain radar show more on the way so that's scrubbed.

Forecasts don't seem to resemble reality lately,it was supposed to be chucking it down here this morning but it was lovely and sunny

We have a mixture of weather in Glasgow, Some showers but dry. We were at a funeral service today and as there were only 10 people allowed in, the rest of us stood outside as we could still here the service with the outside speakers. But thankfully it stayed dry,

Argh! Weather forecasters are hopeless, aren't they? They should only be paid on performance. If they get it right they get paid. This would ensure that we don't get soaked everytime we go out!

IIRC I read that as we are on lockdown this will effect weather patterns.

Weather forecasting is not an easy job. When they give a weather report, it's basically a projection, based on current and past weather patterns. These can obviously change. Wind may change direction, causing lots of things to change as a simple example.

People always give them crap for getting it wrong but they are doing their best to monitor what's happening and give their best ideas of what the weather might be. There are so many variables that they can't control. Best way to treat a forecast is to take it as a suggestion of what the weather is likely to be, rather than gospel that it WILL be like that.

This was supposed to the first full weekend for me to have my 5 year old son. Theoretically I could have him as court orders still apply during the lockdown but with him living 130 miles away and my not being able to take him anywhere whilst here it wouldn’t really be practical so he’s better off with his mother until this all goes away.

Sensible decision but it still hard not being able to spend time with him. <<hugs>>

My moan is having the crown on one of my front teeth split down the middle and one half fall out. I can now whistle through the gap and have developed a lisp. It also looks like I can't get it fixed for the foreseeable future. At least no one but John can see my new look but if he doesn't stop laughing he will have a lot more teeth missing than me when I hide his dentures. :D

Lost a couple of relatives this week: My uncle Robert* who I've not seen for a long while to pancreatic cancer and my aunt in Australia, her ex-husband to various medical conditions finally by Corona infection.

Not serious grief, just a bit sad. :(

Our clan keeps getting smaller: Just two sisters and three cousins in the UK plus a few more in Oz

*Yes, Bob was indeed my uncle.

I seem to have hurt the lower part of my back while weeding the garden on Friday, could hardly move while at work on Saturday and today is similar. Just hoping it improves as to not stop me going to work at 5.30am tomorrow as I don't want to add any points on my Bradford factor score which usually stays at zero.

I have lost a filling but at least I didn't swallow this one.Should be having a 6th month checkup this week but that's cancelled..Never mind I just need to brush a lot more regularly especially as I now have more time to do so..And hide his dentures anyway..make it a treasure hunt.;)

Not much fun having bits drop off is it. :D: Hope you stay pain free until normal Dentistry resumes.

I messaged my Dentist and he advised me to swap over to Sensodyne toothpaste, when he heard we were in lock down he brought me a tube plus a mouldable tooth guard to wear a couple of nights a week with an big dollop of the toothpaste on the stump of tooth now exposed.

:D I haven't hidden his dentures ....yet.

John is being an absolute gem and I couldn't imagine being in lock down with anyone else. Not looking forward to the weather being forecast for the next few days though. Being able to get out in the garden and sit in the sun with our morning coffee has become a highlight of our day.

:erm: Have you hidden the TV remote yet, all the old war films?

My dad once swallowed his false teeth so swallowing a filling is child's play!
