This was taken from here? So I would say that it has.

Thanks for the info, wonder why the slate on 544 (V+ box) is still showing old information or is it a different message for people on TiVo?

I agree as well, this along with the 30 sec skip are the best features of TiVo.

I have just joined this forum having been on the TiVo Community forum since 2008 when I bought my first two TiVo S1s. Through you guys I have enabled the US TiVo iPad App.

Nice to find another group of people who in the main love TiVo (and CPFC).

The listing by time and channel under 'manual Recording' are also very useful for setting up you weeks list of programmes to be recorded.

found this info about making folders for films, not tried it myself so not sure how/if it works but its worth a try

i have tried this and now managed to create a folder called Films. All the films i now record (HD or SD) now record into this folder. Any films already on box wont go into folder but you can delete them and recored them again then they will go into the new folder

Do you have to keep the wish list film or does the folder stay if you keep it?

you can delete the wishlist film, if there any no films in there the folder goes but then if you record a film it puts it back in the folder. Becuase its a wishlist it started recording suggested films so i changed the options to New Only and it didnt record anymore suggested films. I can now record a film from any channel and it will go in the films folder thou

it did take me about 3-4 attemps to get it to work correctly thou as i think its trial and error. In the categories i choose HD then in sub categories i choose film. 1st time i did it i only choose film. i do think its trial and error like i say

your welcome, im only passing on the info i have found, use this link below and that will tell you how to set it up. Post back on how you get on and your settings for it and i cna see if it works any different to mine

http://vmhd.blogspot.com/2011/06/cre...r-tivo-my.html

oh and i didnt set it to 1 i set it to all in the wishlist
now read the reason the folder needs to be equal to 1 is that so only 1 film will be recorded as a suggestion and it doesnt record loads of suggestions but you need it to record 1 film to create the folder. Looks like i need to change mine when i get home then, i bet all my hdd space will be usesd by the time i get back home from suggestions

Thanks for the welcome.

Just looked up when I got my first TiVo and it was actually in October 2002.

Are there many former S1 users on this forum?

You guys were first with the US TiVo iPad App work around and it is now being used by users on the TiVo community forum. So well done and thanks from me.

My parents had their ageing SA V+ box replaced with a 500GB TiVo (my Xmas present to them) earlier today. I have to say that they're very impressed so far and so am I. Already they've picked up a lot more about its functionality than they ever did about the V+ box. Mum even managed to teach herself how to do the basics just by reading the leaflets that the installer left behind, so they're obviously well written as she's not very technical-minded.
