A box of 20 plasters (from Amazon, for 74p).

My grand daughter likes to put them on people to make them 'better'. :)

Well I can finally make a worthy entry on this thread!!

Today I got a beautiful record player from salvation army..... Its MONO and has all 4 speeds.. When I got home,I listenend to my 16rpm record (Italian Opera in the 20th Century)

I have been looking for a new player for awhile now.............

I cant find any info on this player.... WHat year it came out,etc......

If someone wants to try and look it up for me,please try?

Its a motorola M51FY (I think its FY it might be PY (The last 2 chars are hard to see))

Only has 1 speaker, right in the unit itself............

I'm happy to hear that you have found a way to listen to your records on a machine that suits your requirements. Unlike Hugh with his super powers :D :DI couldn't find the actual Motorola with either of the codes that you gave but you may be able to find others who have the same interests and who share your passion for older equipment on a forum such as the ones I have given links to below. :)

A new car, well new to me anyway. Ford Puma.
Worked out how to drive the thing, but as for all the other gadgets, 'infotainment', on board computers, that will take some time with the 500 page manual.... Wonder how car battery's cope with all this extra stuff. Heated everything - not that I'm complaining atm!

Mines the same colour as yours....... Is this from the 50s?? (What does the 55 mean?? (Mine has it also))

I would assume before Stereo came out in 1957 all record players only had 1 speaker??

How do they play stereo grooves properly? I mean they merge left/right channels so it sounds like true mono!!!!

Thanx Hugh for finding it!!!!!

The link to Hugh's photos was in my post and if you use the link you can see all the other photo's that the US A ebay seller provided. You could also try getting the extra information about your player through the forums that I gave you links to.
