Luckily I picked my up yesterday, now I'm self isolating for 14 days :(

Client that I'm writing some development C code for has closed down their factory and furloughed the staff. Means I won't have any experimental hardware for some time to test the code. I can run segments on a target board I have but it's not the same ARM processor but is the same family.

Their PCB layout guy is a subcontractor like me so he'll do the layouts at home but I guess the PCB manufacturers are probably shut down as well. Even if not the board would need to be assembled and it's all surface mount components. Not something you can make in a shed.

The majority are doing that now to avoid the massive queues. My store has changed their opening hours a lot, we now do 08:00 to 22:00 Monday to Saturday (was 06:00 to 00:00) and Sunday has been made 10:00 to 16:00 (was 12:00 to 18:00). By and large, we aren't getting long queues, but we still get the odd person who doesn't listen to the social distancing advice in the store. Can't wait for this to be over.

Also remember there is no Nightshift to restock the shelves.

Why not use direct debit like most people?

Anyhoo just been to the post office, what a balls up that place is. taped off areas all over the floor, boxes of sweets scattered all over the floor and no one had a clue where to stand, and they are only accepting post that they deem is necessary [not sure if that is actually legal].

Present your bill at the post office then pay with credit/debit card once you have managed to get to the head of the queue!
10min wait to reach the counter.

We pay most of our bills through Direct Debit apart from gas and electricity which we top up online in about 30 seconds..

In 2020 you would have thought far more attention was payed by them making sure their website was secure.
