Suggestion! Those who want to discuss/debate climate change either find a more appropriate thread or start one of their own..

So Genesis are reforming to tour. Phil Collins must have made a miraculous recovery from being unable to hear properly or hold a pair of drumsticks. Methinks someone is running out of beer tokens.

Quite shocked to hear that as l like you thought Phil Collins had quit due to the problems that he was having.

Well, considering that Phil Collins has been touring every year since 2017, probably not...

No need to do any of those things these days. Just breathing will do, technology will do the rest.

I know and wonder how many people did actually fork out for the vast number of tickets which were hoovered up through APIs. Just take the cash on offer and sod the fans eh.

Me: "Why can't I make rent payments by Direct Debit instead of the archaic Standing Order system?"

The Council "We have no idea".

Me: "Can you look into it?"

The Council "We don't know who to ask".

We are under a housing trust association Taf and are allowed to make rent payments by Direct Debit.

Genuine question-why does it matter it still comes out of your bank account?

Standing order is you pushing money to the recipient, if amounts change you need to amend the SO. You have control, you can just stop the flow. Also good for you to set up payments without needing the OK from the recipient.

Direct debit is recipient pulling money from you, they can change amounts and take what they "need" - useful if amounts change each time. The recipient sets it up.
