But it's a Sky Basics channel, Sirius. I think there is a matter of principle here and Virgin are not prepared to step over this red line. It creates a precedent and would ultimately not be in our interests for Sky to believe that they can get away with ripping VM customers off.

I think Virgin should concentrate on finding alternative ways of making SA programmes available to its viewers and with Liberty Global's expanding content availability as well as other sources, start launching some Virgin exclusive channels that are worth having. This would give them something to bargain with.

Can someone confirm this just been told you can't take the sports season ticket if you already have offers on your account?

I wouldn't know as i don't have the tv vm were kind enough to let me drop tv and phone even though i was still in contract, but a friend just got told by cs as he has discounts on his account he can't take the sports season ticket.

I would suspect it is something to do with margins. If they are offering equivalent of £12 per month discount to all SS customers then this would be some of the margin they are using to offer the loyalty discounts etc. I have a £8 per month loyalty discount for the next 18 months so the offer would be identical to me.

The advantage to Virgin is they get the cash in the bank which may say something as well.

Depends what you mean by offers.... I had already switched to Kahuna with the sports and movies but Twitter and Customer Services confirmed I could by the Season Ticket...

Guess that's a bundle change not an offer... but it seems like an offer....

The main (sky) sky sports app from the app store.

It will give you the option of signing in via Virgin. Have you updated the app

The username and password for signing into the app, I take it is the same username ( which is usually your email addy ) and password that you use to access your Virgin Media account?

So here it is rumoured the whole Tivo software is going to have a major overhaul, this will see a complete colour change on the menus and other changes such as on demand being available at the click of one button and also 4 digit channel numbers, for example bbc1 would become 1001.
This is set to begin in 2015, atm it's only a rumour as only 1 source has told me this.
I know some of you will have questions but this is all i know at the moment as soon as i get more infor i will post it here.

That makes sense. TiVo in the US is issuing a complete rewrite of software this July, abandoning the slow and cumbersome Flash/Air UI and introducing a new Haxe developed interface that should be faster for customers and developers alike. More over on VMHD and SlashGear.

If it's like Skygo it will be two devices and 1 change allowed a month.

Also like Sky Go, you can't output to your TV either via the overpriced Apple cable nor through AirPlay :(
