Have Virgin made any offical announcement that they're losing the espn channels? Because as well as xl customers there will be on smaller packages who might subscribe to them

Whilst awaiting news on the future of sport, dropped off XL package to L and managed to save a bundle.

Perhaps VM are hoping to capitalise on this and are aiming to be the platform of choice for the minority who want 3D? They may think that if all those who want it are mopped up from elsewhere, they will make a profit from 3D. More likely, they are hoping that starting to cater for niche markets (eg foreign channels) will bring customers to their wider service. ---------- Post added at 12:40 ---------- Previous post was at 12:37 ---------- Quote:
I had also assumed that the FA Cup was one of the national sporting events protected from going exclusively onto pay TV, is this not the case? |

I agree, it will be one or the other (my money is it being Sky Atlantic) For all the Media Boy critics: :sniper: ---------- Post added at 15:59 ---------- Previous post was at 15:56 ---------- Found this post on the VM forum: Just read this on BT Care twitter feed... "Hi, just seen your tweet, I am sorry BT Sport will not be available on Virgin Media" No "As things stand" there, seems a definitive reply to me. http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/...1911348/page/2 I have just tweeted BT Sport myself asking if they will be on VM from launch - will post any answer I get :) |
