I think it tried to snow here, but was more like sleety-rain. Only lasted a few mins.

Yeah, looking out the window it seems like that here too now.
Hopefully the lower temperatures in the evening will make it snow more.
Would be nice to wake up to lot's of snow tommorow.

The lower temps won't make it snow, but it will the snow stick around longer.

Yesterday it was quite mild (I was outside for an hour happily in a t-shirt), and the snow was melting. It chilled down last night which helped the snow stick around a bit.

Oh I dunno about that. My Mum often says it gets too cold to snow :nutter:

Equally if it has snowed properly, then it's got to snow again to take it away :erm:

The colder it gets the less moisture there is in the air. But it has to be something like -30c before it truly is too cold to snow.

A guy from Gabon got on the train near me at Gatwick - he seemed a bit unsure about what he was letting himself in for :)

Sorry, Mother will never buy that one, that's not just cold that really would be "no neck weather" ;)

And there's plenty more of those sayings

Well, it's been snowing heavily here in Notts and i've just seen a car parked in a lamp post...looks like he was going to fast, braked, skidded and crunch.

I've had two windows open in my bedroom all week. Still are now.

My bedroom is weird. It has its own microclimate which has no relevance to the weater outside or temperature of any other rooms. For example, my bedroom, with two open windows, is warmer than my inside porch & my garage.

You thought England and Wales had it bad!

Residents in northern New York state are bracing themselves for more heavy snowfalls as they struggle to clear up to six feet (1.80m) of snow.

Highways, schools and offices remain closed in Oswego County. Forecasters say an additional two feet of snow could fall by tomorrow.
