Got a phone call today, having my pre-op appointment next week. Twenty to five though, so a late night for me. Pleased it is finally moving on though. Just over a month from seeing GP initially to pre-op appointment. Would still be waiting for an initial consultation on the NHS!

Thanks den, am a bit nervous but tbh the benefits after it is keeping me positive about it. Been driving me mad the last few days so a couple more weeks and hopefully all better.

You made the right decision to go private then :)
I hope everything goes smoothly and comfortably.

Fantastic news Cobby. it must be a good feeling knowing what this could mean for your future plans. <<hugs>> and fingers crossed to you both.

With only just leaving will she have to travel back to the States for the interview?

Thanks Jo. She didn't come back with me, she flew to Dubai to lecture on a couple of workshops for Manchester Business School. She gets back to the States next Wednesday and her interview's on Thursday.

Not sure I'd want doctors with scalpels down there unless it was really necessary. :erm:

checked my bank account this AM and found 121 quid gone in I did not expect. It had CHD at the end of payment code so called Inland revenue and low and behold I have been award my Child benefit and I can claim tax credits so no bedroom tax possibly even less rent and possibly less council tax to pay. So in the end el gov trying to screw me with bedroom tax has ended up costing them more so lmao if it was not for the bedroom tax I would not have claimed CB
