Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Ok a win is a win but it was hardly convincing against a club we should have beaten easily.
|
Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
At the game tonight, virtually the same performance as the last two home games, all three could have been 1-0 either way, not a great display, Young and Giggs both very poor, Ferdinand shaky. Phil Jones put in a good shift and made some great tackles, not much else to right home about.

Juve have been knocked out of the champions league on a pitch that isn't fit for use. I feel for them but Galatasaray scored, simple as that.
Why UEFA even allowed the game to take place on a non-league standard pitch is beyond me. |
Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Seeing AC go out on a dirty pitch would have been pleasing. Gala employees can now roam the streets. Arsenal were forced to stay in the hotel in Napoli because of nutcase ultra supporters.
And in positive news Theirry Henry on SS2 from 6 :D ---------- Post added at 18:54 ---------- Previous post was at 17:09 ---------- Quote:

The squad hasnt hit top form yet though, that evident in player performances bar Rambo, Mert, Kos, Gibbs, Sagna.. basically near enough attack hasnt clicked. The games have been approached wrong. Vs Utd there was flu around the camp. Everton were shown too much respect and tonight had a knock on effect from the previous game.

And I for one have not made any excuses for United's woeful start to the season, they were poor most of last year as well. I certainly don't blame Moyes, apart from buying Fellaini who was not the type of player they needed, Moyes has been let down by far too many insipid and inept performances, some from good players and far too many from players who have never been good enough. |

Man Utd winger Ashley Young unapologetic over diving claims.

Guarin ain't good enough for Chelsea in my humble opinion. |

Lamela is better than Tottenham. If he moves to Spain he'll show that.

Glyn Blyton: I'm hoping for a 4-4 thriller with Aguero scoring all four for City and Ozil all of Arsenal's! No two guesses who is in his fantasy team :D |

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Well closer at the top of the table but we're still top and we only have to play at City once a season in the league. We lost at United but have done well since then, the same is required again.
|
Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
I think the difference today is that we had silva back..that didn't make our midfield better than arsenal..but made it equal.
Our strike force was superior, and both defences were shaky. ---------- Post added at 14:48 ---------- Previous post was at 14:47 ---------- I also think arsenal will be there challenging at the end of the season, too good a team to collapse |

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
No doubt that Arsenal tired towards the end losing most of the 50/50 balls.
On the plus side I thought Walcott looked to be getting back to his best. Great advert for the Premier League. My missus is gutted though, she has just put Aguero in her fantasy footie team and Koscielny is one of her defenders, she has used up all her transfers as well.:D |

God we don't half make things difficult by not killing teams off. A couple of Sunday morning goalmouth scrambles ain't good for your heart either. I'm not looking forward to the Arsenal game either. In fact, I'm not looking forward to any game at the moment. How we've ended up in 2nd I don't know. Another high scoring game at Sunderland on Tuesday me thinks. Then a trip to goal shy Arsenal after that....Fantastic entertainment in the early match today. Someones gonna feel the backlash from that....

Yes a win is definitely what was required by MU given their current travails but by heck that Villa defence was poor.
