Today i got 2 records and a cassette :)

1) CASSETTE: Chase - First album
2) RECORD: Jefferson Starship - Blows against the empire (First album)
3) RECORD: Nazereth - Loud and Proud

I HAD THIS MONTHS AGO (Loud'N'Proud) and it sounded like cold garbage like it had been digitally altered!!!!

This album came out in 1973 (Digital era started in 1975) so I must have gotton a RE-ISSUE after 1975 ...... It sounded horrible....

The one I got today sounds excellent!!!! (Especally side 2) -- Warm and gorgeous as analogue should be!!

A pack of two net laundry bags: These are mainly to keep smaller items together during the wash but I also have a very nice long, thick, white knitted acrylic scarf and I have to hand wash it as it would get tangled up in eveything or have to be washed on its own. The bag will keep it safe. :)

Blue is fashionable these days, but I suppose it depends on the location.

Metal cavity anchors to fit the new shower and rails to the wall. I learned my lesson years ago that ordinary rawlplugs just don't do the job on tiled plasterboard walls.

https://www.cableforum.uk/images/local/2018/04/3.jpg

Now I am trying to find a wooden shower curtain pole (I don't trust the thin metal ones).

Or any electrics. :shocking:

The other way to be sure of a decent fixing is to locate the studs and fix into them if they are conveniently located.

All pipes are in front of the wall due to the construction method.

No studs as it's dot'n'dab plasterboard onto aerated concrete blocks, which are so feeble you can push your finger into them, so not able to bear loads.

What make did you go for? this is the one we bought for the double and it is amazing compared to other makes, far thicker than others we tried, so if you're disappointed in what turns up i promise the below will be perfect, don't let the bumps put you off as you can't feel them.

You won't be disappointed in that amazon one i promise you, why don't you also order it then you can compare?

When i ruined ours in the washing machine we bought a different make as the 3D massage bumps looked off putting on the new version, but when we got it it was nothing compared to our old 1 so we sent it back and decided to risk the 1 with the massage bumps, luckily you cant feel the massage bumps at all, infact i cant feel any difference, so we're very very happy in the purchase.

An official Mitsubishi service and repair manual including wiring diagrams (£9.02 inc next day delivery) for my Colt as there's no Haynes available.

There's a small squeak coming from the water pump at certain RPM so I want to be ready to change it as, and when, it's needed plus I have a small electrical issue with the tailgate light.

Fortunately this engine uses a cam chain rather than a belt and the pump is driven from the alternator belt on the outside of the unit. Dead easy to get to. :)

Some yellow label bargains from Sainsbury's this afternoon: 2.5Kg Maris Piper spuds for 89p. 1.6Kg outdoor bred pork shoulder. Was £9.79 mine for £4.60. That'll go in the freezer for some future time. 1.15Kg Hereford beef Silverside was £8.85. Mine for £4.40. That's our Sunday roast sorted. I'll pot roast slow cook for extra succulence. :)

Funny how the human mind seems to switch on dramatically when the bargains start to appear in front of their eyes as we use some online sites several times throughout the year and Kezie has Fish and Seafood half price ATM and we all know how pricey fish can be so we ordered some items not surprisingly.:)

A clean drain is preferable. The vinegar and bicarb will make CO2 gas, the salt won't do much.

I think Hubby once got a ridiculous offer of like 15 for 5 pounds on that but the store didn't take out the individual cartridges from the main box of 15 - they were like 5 each. He returned it due to their error / but usually they are quite expensive - do you get them retail or wholesale? They just don't work out cost effective usually and unfortunately we live in kind of a hard water area. :(

We got them off Amazon yesterday in their daily deals as we paid £16 for 6.

Yes as soon as we saw the offer we did not need to think about it too much.

Water jug, we change them once a month which i think is when they're meant to be changed give or take a week.

Mine is kettle as we end up with plastic crap at the bottom of it otherwise. I only do the kettle like twice a day but no way does a set last me a month.

Grr....

Get a water jug, then the water should be ok before it goes in the kettle, where is the plastic coming from, if its the kettle get a new kettle?

The tap - I have both the Brita Jug and Kettle.

We have dreadful water round here, it is hard, full of plastic and lumpy.

The kettle is fine as it has it's own filter system + cartridges. It is just rather uneconomical to use it like this.

Okay so in case anyone is interested, this is what I bought yesterday:

Attachment 27427

As I bought them from a place that accepted Amex the Visa snafu / bungle didn't matter.

My daughter is pissed as I didn't get the stuff for her trip from the cheaper store (which doesn't take Amex, but oh well) and I got new shoes out of the experience.

What do all of you think?

Beautiful shoes. A bit too big a heel for me, but they are classy .

Yeah those are on the low end for me usually - average for heels (for whatever reason) is usually 4 inches plus ; hubby gets annoyed if I dare wear flats.

No idea why - I am between 5 foot 8 and 9 - I am 6 foot plus with heels.
