To be fair on the weekends when people are not working they will do things like this, i know if my garden needed doing it would have to get done at a weekend when it isn't raining.

What really pisses me off though is people that light bonfires.

Or people that think you want to hear their music when you are sitting out in the sunshine. Love music but always stick in earphones when I'm out in the back garden, also reduces time I need to spend talking to neighbours or wife :D

I couldn't agree more, luckily I don't have neighbours like this.

They dont train these scammers very well. I just had one phoning up saying there is a problem my computer. He then asked me what was on the monitor and I said there was an owl, at which point he rang off! OK so it wasn't an owl, it was actually three cats.

On reflection perhaps they are training them better

I detest these phone calls also ones that do not answer, I keep a note of the number and just do not answer,

If you Google the number that will usually show it on a telepest list and the likely caller.

Caller ID is a godsend here.

And now its FREE, i don't use the phone much and never pick it up unless i am expecting a call from someone.

I got it free on my BT line that I use for business by registering at the TPS via the BT web site.

I need to get a phone with caller ID on my Virgin line as it's getting a few scammer calls now.

My car was rear-ended today when I was waiting to join a roundabout. :geez:

Boot door is dented and a small crack on the bumper. Not too bad all considered. The driver of the other car handled it well.

One question I have is that next week my insurance policy chances to a new provider. I have already paid for that insurance and given my details including a 7 year no claims. Do I lose all that now and have to pay more? Obviously the claim goes though my current insurer and I am 90% sure it will be a no-fault on my side.

If it was protected you wont lose it but it can still affect the policy premium I think, you need to tell your new insurer asap before it starts.

You have got protected no claims Damien, haven't you? Everyone should get it if available, negligible increase for big benefits

I've phoned my insurer and they'll hold the other party responsible.

However the van that went into me was a commerical one from a large reputable company and they gave me a form that allows me to claim via their insurance directly, they'll handle everything too.

Any advice on if I should go though my insurer or should I use theirs? They'll be 'responsible' either way and my no claims is fine.

Contact your insurer, let them know that they have given you this form, and ask what they (your insurer) want you to do.
