In fairness to Johnson, he doesn't know he's sat next to a 95-year-old as he's in the land of nod.

I do actually have a bit of sympathy for him nodding off - these conferences are quite draining and his household is probably not the most relaxing environment for him at the moment. But he's just being a bit political on the mask-wearing which is disappointing, albeit not unexpected.

I see - one of the main speakers (Sir David Attenborough) should shield himself because Boris (who wore a mask in the HoC during the Budget Speech) can't be arsed to wear a mask.

Once again, you miss the point - why wouldn't people reduce the chances of them infecting others?

The older someone is, the more at risk they are - think of others, not just oneself.

I also hate it when I'm not allowed to eat nuts on a plane because someone has a nut allergy. In that case, they can sit in a plastic bubble or take the train.
