Stevenage are down then, really sad. Probably going to be the first team confirmed as relegated.

Interesting

Manchester City could be punished like Saracens and be kicked out of the Premier League for breaking financial fair play rules, believes Jamie O’Hara. Those claims come amid reports that, as well as their two-year ban from European football, City could potentially be hit with a points deduction and may even be forced to drop down into LEAGUE TWO.

But should Maguire still be on the pitch? Or is Antony Taylor the new Howard Webb. ;)

The simple answer is no and be aware of VAR as it might bite back just when you do not want it to do.;)

We have been on the wrong end of several iffy VAR decisions already this season, our turn to get the rub of the green.:p:

Of course listen to some fans and they think we are top of the league because VAR has been our 12th man.

It's close to being true, it's by no means a 12th man. Without VAR the gap would be 6 points. Brighton have had the most VAR decisions. Followed by Man United. Liverpool only have a net VAR result of 1 decision FOR when balanced against the overturns and against. However when other teams get taken into consideration, Man City stay pretty close.

The worst off being Wolves and Sheffield United. Which would've left Wolves 7 points clear of Man United in 5th.

It's impossible to deny VAR has had an absolute effect on league going ons. Liverpool would still be top but the gap and VAR conclusions are solid evidence on the impact its had. In fact strangely enough the only Premier League team that hasn't gained or dropped points through VAR is Newcastle. With a total of one decision in a game they were already winning.

In terms of net points gained from VAR, you're second in the list. 8 VAR decisions, 6 went in your favour and two against. The last time a VAR decision actively led to a goal against was Arsenal at home. There's not been a single VAR decision that changed the net outcome of a game for Man United since September 30th and without the same net results of VAR, as above you'd be 7 points behind Wolves. You're a single decision away from being the most favoured team for VAR decisions.

3 in one game last night helped to influence those figures. 😉

Only two count towards the net of directly influencing the result of a game. Otherwise that would put you top. Think actual penalties, goals and offsides etc.

Only decisions that have a direct effect on the score of the game have been totalled. Indirect decisions like red cards and so forth haven't been scored in a net system. Otherwise Chelsea would get a net gain by claiming Harry Maguire should've been sent off and then they'd have won the game which is far less of a reality than hard goal decisions.

This is diabolical football for Champions League level. You'd think Liverpool were playing Stoke.
