According to the BT website you also get Sky Sports Xtra with Main Event - for £27 pm & £6pm extra to get them in HD.

Total rip off imho.

Yeah and people on here slate Virgin Media's negotiation team. The current deal between BT and Sky for SKY Sports is a stinker. It'll be all change in about 8 months but until then their customer's are getting 💩 for the price of gold.

Thames Valley (Wokingham, near Reading).

Base on raw information we saw the few weeks back they was the high number of Known bugs that Virgin Media was trying to fix.

We cant reveal the full list.

Sounds like VM is the same as Sky - never release known error list (that way you can deny knowledge of errors when customers ring up)

Why can't companies be honest,

1) have a centralised list of known bugs that people can view
2) indicate which are actively being worked on
3) indicate when a fix is being released - even if it is say 3-4 months

Sadly in their world being honest means having less profit...

If we was Sky we would rebrand Sky Sports Main Event as Sky Sports Extra and cut back on the number of live sports Sky need to put on the Red Button.

As far as we known you can only get Sports Main Event if you have the Sky Sports package in (re all Sky Sports channels).

We are talking about Sky and Virgin Media viewers.

I can sympathise with that view - it would indeed be interesting, and if there was an annoying bug, you would at least see it on the list and know that it had been picked up.
However, the downside for Virgin Media would be that the usual suspects would be claiming compensation for problems they may otherwise not have noticed, when a fix is delayed, people would be ringing up to vent their spleens and complain about the delay to the original timetable, etc. I think VM believe that it is better not to say anything and hope that most of these problems won't even be noticed.

ITV Encore cease broadcasting on 1 May. So that's one channel less on Sky that we don't have.

Its programming will then be available via On Demand and I understand that this will also be available to VM viewers. Whether this will be a separate app or whether the additional programming will be added to 'ITV Collections' on demand, I am not sure.

For those who have been following The Americans on ITV Encore, a new series of this starts on ITV 4 on Wednesday 4 April at 10pm.

Which I can't watch as they'll be showing where Encore left off, not where main ITV/STV left off. I'll like get around to it on a VOD service eventually. :-P :-D

We subscribe to the Now TV Entertainment Pass and they notified me by email that the live channel would no longer be available from 1 May as it was closing down. However the on demand channel would continue to be accessible.

Yes, because they didn't follow through with the original plan to bring lots of new content on to this channel. Instead, they continued to rely mainly on ITV repeats, many of which had already even been shown on ITV3!

Add to that that it was exclusive to just one platform and Bobs your uncle.
