I've rung Virgin Media to take up the free 6 months Netflix promo offer, I couldnt understand a word they were saying to me. The bloke i was put through to transfered me to someone else who said * So you got a problem with your tv * I said noooo, i wanna take up the free 6 months Netflix promo offer. He told me to go on the netflix website and sign up. dear me ...

I've just had a very similar conversation with the overseas call centre!. I gave up, but just spoke to someone on cable forum, and they have confirmed that you will, lose your loyalty discount if you sign up to the netflix offer, so isn't worth losing my discount, so not going to bother.

Ring again and go thru to retentions,I did but gonna pass lose far more of loyalty discount than the £5.99 for Netflix.me thinks this is vm way of trying to do away with loyalty discounts :(

Here virgin have an offer for £25 for 6 months premier collection. Can i not sign a new contract using this offer and get the free netflix for 6 months too? I have that same package at the minute without the netflix offer and am paying £47

Just rang myself, the lady I spoke to was unaware fo the deal. I did speak to someone Scottish, so that was a bonus.

I had "loyalty offers" as well as a few others on here. However, I saved more money by losing my "loyalty offer" than through keeping it.:erm::confused:

Lower monthly bills and 6 months free netflix, smashing!!:)

Just gotta wait for the e-mail with code. I was told the wait would be 5 working days, not just 5 days.

Probably a silly question but, does anyone know if I will be able to use a free trial whilst waiting for the code (provided I get the update before the code that is), or will they register the use of Netflix on my TIVO box thus stopping me using both deals?

Not that is for new customers joining VM

---------- Post added at 18:30 ---------- Previous post was at 18:28 ----------

Yeah I would have lost 12 months of £5 discount to get Netflix free.. free trials it is then.

Re: TiVo Update/Netflix

I didnt qualify for free 6 months netflix so was put thro to redemptions.
The also said i didnt qualify as an existing customer but gave me 18 months at a £5 discount for loyalty.
I did agree to a new 12 month contract.
No other changes.
Lot cheaper than 6 months free netflix.

Not sure - I know for existing Netflix customers the code just stops billing for six months, but don't know if you can apply it whilst in the standard free sign up

Well done bud,it worked out better for me to keep my loyalty discount and just keep paying Netflix same way as I allways have ;)

Cheers Ben, will probably just wait until I get the e-mail. No point risking losing the 6 months free. :-)
