Not the point, Kwikkie. When it does work properly it should be available in Modem Mode.

Anyway, I've put the wretched thing into router mode with just the Airport Extreme router attached and wirelss off, of course.

I tel you what I have noticed in the short time I've been on R36: JITTER in router mode at quiet times is lsslightly but consistently lower than in modem mode.

I suspect that the next bug ridden and garish piece of tat will be in service before they ever get all the Superhub bugs ironed out. Of course whether they replace the million+ Superhubs they've foisted on their customers quickly is very questionable but any new CPE will see an end to Superhub firmware upgrades for sure.

I doubt it - isn't he hoping for a firmware update for his VMNG300 to support upstream bonding?

My assumption is that there will only be firmware updates for currently supplied kit and any problems with older kit will just mean it gets replaced with whatever is then current.

The VMNG300 supports up to 4 upstream channels.

Ignition did say they were working on a firmware update to fix issues with its upstream bonding. Probably because VM have decided to use a non standard method to cut corners (speculation).

How with R36 do you tell the service speed for which it is configured i.e 50meg, 100meg?

for faster access you don't need to log in and you just you going to "router status" top right is a dark grey tab , then look at main window for "Operation Configuration"

Re: R36 Firmware Beta Test (was R35)

So before R36 I had my set-up as the following:

[Superhub] --> [Dir-615] --> [Wireless Clients]
|
|

[Wired Clients]

But now after it, I have found that I have been able to remove the DIR-615 from my setup, and leave the Superhub to deal with wireless. It seems that the power output has greatly increased, as before it wouldn't reach the next bedroom, but now I'm typing this from outside!

Re: R36 Firmware Beta Test (was R35)

Just looking through this and seeing about the difference between router and modem mode: Can I then, turn router mode back on, disable wireless, run a cable from the SH to my RT56U which will then handle all the wireless transactions?

The reason I ask is that my placement for the SH is such that all my wired connections are routed to that position but I want to move my wireless router to a different location, my current thinking was that I would have to use modem mode and then run multiple new cables back and add a gateway - if router mode and my own router handling wifi will do the same job I will not need any new equipment.

If that is a go, any advice on the best way to get everything working properly?
