Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed

telford I don't know where you've got that date from, Blackburn tickles come into play Jul - Dec 2012. unless of course the OP who wanted to know the date lives out at sea somewhere.

Phil-ntl thats from the tickle page so as people have mentioned like Sirius, don't take it for a proper answer, its rough date sort of thing.. but even then ignition will probably say it'll get held back :o:

May i suggest you all wait till the real dates are released not some dates from a person who is known to stretch the truth.

yeah, 2 ppl have given different dates, july-dec 2012 and nov 12 - dec 13th, clearly 1 or more of them is lying, i'll just wait until tomorrow instead of checking this thread, i'm sure vm will update their page by noon.

No one is lying as they are just second guessing which is pointless.

Yep that's fine. As I said it doesn't make a great deal of difference to me but I can use it to get a couple of people off my back and just tell them its subject to change of course :p:

That's actually a very good point but I guess that in this day and age of business it doesn't count for a great deal.

I'm not a customer according to the tickles page, it doesn't like my account number and postcode it just says that it is unable to verify myself as a customer. The same thing happens with the service status page.

How long does it take for them to update their system, I have had this account since the start of Dec.

So those people who will need a replacement router, won't it cost a fortune to have engineers come out to hundreds of thousands of homes?

Or do they do it like BT where they send you the router and have you install it yourself?

Re: Virgin Media to Double Broadband Speed

It'll be self install - unless network reasons require a tech install
