You may have studied it, that does not mean you cannot be wrong.

If you read his book I'm sure you'd see his explanations make sense. He has a very high success rate (those that fail are usually the people who do not follow his plan exactly) and I'm part of that which is why I recommend it to everyone and I've not had anyone come back to me saying it didn't work.

Here is a prime example of someone who would rather believe a hack than someone who actually knows the facts

Seriously, you need to read it! Over-eating makes you put on weight, simple as that.

yeah but you did not say over eating until this post

I am not wrong your previous posts are. This post is the only one that is right

Did you know that eating celery burns more calories in its digestion than are present in the celery itself?

That is cool Russ I am happy to be proven wrong on this :) Urban myths are often mistaken for fact :) I was not taught that at collage I picked it up along the way

At least I do not believe a Hack over the real science I did learn about :)

Even if that hack cites verifiable scientific references for his claims?

So you've been proven wrong about that, I wonder what else there you could be proven wrong about?

Anyway it doesn't matter, whatever works, works.

well a number of your statements are inaccurate. Maybe Paul does have the correct info and maybe the inaccuracies are in your understanding of it

Carry on Russ I am all for learning. If I am wrong am wrong I am not arrogant enough to think I know everything or that everything I know is correct I just know that to the best of my knowledge it is . Then like now you have taught me something I accept it with grace something you lack ;)

I'm not sure about that, considering I've followed that he says and lost weight with it. At an outside guess I'd suggest if I was incorrect with it then maybe I wouldn't have lost it?

not lost anything Russ mr you will get fat on 10 plates of salad lmao

I have followed my knowledge and lost more quicker oh and I eat when I am not hungry and still lose 5 lb a week lol ( its also not my first time at the party I have lost 10 stone in less than a year all catalogued on this forum I just slip into bad habits when I do not have someone to punch)

The simple fact is Russ and I kinda think you were trying to say something similar is if you eat more calories than your body burns you gain weight. It does not matter when you eat the calories whether you are hungry or not. I eat 1400 calories a day spread over 5 meals the last 2 meals in the evening I could do without but I need the energy so I eat even though I am not hungry

What you said about hunger is wrong

Damien 29-10-2013 20:00

Re: Who Is Getting Fit This Year?

Yeah the thing about hunger is a bit odd. Your body does use up calories during the day and while eating only when your hungry makes sense, after all it's less food, it's not the case that if you're not hungry you don't need to eat or that it will cause you to gain weight alone. Your body can still use the food right away and it doesn't 'store' it if your hungry and 'not store it' if you're not. If you eat less calories then you burn then you should lose weight, if not you'll gain probably gain it.

In case anyone's interested *Looks at Russ and hope he stops celebrating long enough to see this* that's the ballot open for next years London Marathon.

Be quick! It's normally only open less than a day before the places are nabbed.

Ha! It has already closed mate! I was up at 2am to get mine in ;)

Best Parkrun time in over a year today. :)

Still 3 minutes away from a PB but heading in the right direction and feeling good about my running for a change.

Re: Who Is Getting Fit This Year?

All heading in the right direction fitness wise.

5K times are about 3 minutes faster than at the turn of the year. I'm about a stone and a half lighter as well.

The bikes been scrubbed up and I have a cracking wee ride into work along the Clyde most mornings.

All in things are on track for a return to London next year to try the course without a knackered knee (finger crossed for ballot place) or failing that a step up to an ultra distance race. :)

Re: Who Is Getting Fit This Year?

Sounding good mate - fingers crossed for the ballot! What's your 5k PB?

Went out on a 12 mile run yesterday and limped the last 100 metres or so with slight Peroneal Tendonitis and I have the Swansea Half Marathon in 2 weeks :erm:
