If they jump ship then who are they going to jump ship to? Sky's minimum package is £19 (going up to £19.50 I believe). I wonder as well how many people took out the £7 option. TV choice is nice to have in with the xl package but no way would I pay that for it especially if I chose, or could only afford, to pay for one of the lower tiers. I'm also sorry to see this option go but let's face it, it's not going to be the end of the world, even to most of the people who took this option. |

I stand by what I am saying on moving to Sky though. One minute you are sorry for people who can't afford XL, then you suggest they might take out Sky which is £19 minimum. If they wanted a wider choice of popular sd channels they would have to pay more than that, in which case they would be better getting xl. They would then have tv choice back, and ESPN and some HD channels. I wonder how much on demand they would get for £19 anyway. It being tied to a package isn't necessarily a good thing as the stuff they would get is probably on their linear channels anyway. They would also lose catch up on the four main channels. Anyway we are off topic here. I wonder if the mods can move these posts to the correct thread where this is already under discussion. |

Edit: Just noticed that Sky One is actually on the M+, but there are other channels in the XL pack that are on TV Choice. |

Noticed that certain series records such as Strictly Come Dancing and Graham Norton that were on BBC HD have now dissapeared as they are now on BBC1 HD. Had to reset them. Beware. |

One thing I noticed was that QI one BBC 1 HD is upscaled, but is in HD on BBC HD. Very odd...

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
there's still 2 days until the official date of BBC1HD so i'm sure any problems will be fixed by then.

PCNE to stay on Virgin Media (Ex-ntl only) - for an extra month.
I have today been told that PCNE is being removed on 1st December and NOT today as reported by me. However viewers can no longer add PCNE to their package. ---------- Post added at 12:15 ---------- Previous post was at 11:13 ---------- ZING and Zee Punjabi may launch in old Telewest areas next month. I have also been told today that ZING and Zee Punjabi should become available on Virgin Media in old Telewest areas on December 1st as part of the new Asian Channels packages prices. |
