Good luck to you Tweetiepooh in April as well.

How many times do you do it in a week dilli? as my late uncle used to have it 3 times a week and often found it very gruelling himself.

We have now had a further 3 more calls and I am afraid I let John loose on the last one. Never realised he knew so many swear words but it did seem to work as a great stress reliever for him.

Never bothered to get a call blocker up to now as we only ever had spam calls later in the day before and I normally enjoy winding the blighters up but, using what I assume is some kind of spoof UK phone number to hide the location of the call centre and then, calling at a time when a lot of people could be caught off guard makes me think this may be the time to look into some form of solution.

:tu: First thing I did after I checked out the number. I don't expect they will be able to do much as I am 100% sure the call wasn't from BT and I assume it originated from an overseas call centre.

When someone you have admired and looked up too all your life, lets you down time after time it suddenly hits you that they have always been a selfish self centered person and all the years you thought they were fantastic were seen through rose tinted glasses and wee sister eyes, it is only now that you realise everyone was right about them and the only reason they never said anything to you before was out of respect for you. I feel such a fool that I still believed that she would eventually take on some sort of responsibility and would share the hospital visits, shopping tasks etc
The more I see of who this person is the more I realise it is someone I never knew, well as they say there is no fool like a old fool and what a fool I have been in believing right up to last night that she would come good when push comes to shove! How wrong I was.

Don't beat yourself up, your sister is not worth it. I know which of the two of you I admire and who I would choose to have as a daughter or friend, YOU.

It sounds as though you have people who respect you enough to have wanted to protect you in the past and it is those same people who can counsel you in the future. At least you now know where you stand and you can move forward without having to take any mind to your sisters opinions and feelings. You have put your parents well being to the top of your list of priorities and that is all that matters. :)

You can add mine to the list. :tu: Two of my siblings would rank on the same level as yours albeit for different reasons. Thankfully I ceased any contact with my sister years ago after she showed her true colours after I lost my wife. I finally called out my brother's longstanding and utterly selfish behaviour after my father died last year and he tried tried to pull the same old stunt yet again. It's best not to lose a minute's sleep over people like that weenie - concentrate on your real loved ones. :)

Deed poll - one of the few things that you can't view on line! So it's a case of turn up and check the index with your fingers crossed. Could have asked them to check for us and would have happily paid the fee but really needed to know today hence the drive down.

Not all bad though as I went in Mrs G's new MX5 which was the days silver lining.

The NHS

Due to have my pre surgical assement on the 22nd. I'd orginally told them i was away next week on a business trip and not returning to the UK until lunchtime on the 20th

Yesterday i get a letter saying my surgery has been moved up to the 21st.

I ring the consultants secretary first thing this morning to say, how can my surgery be on the 21st when my assessment is on the 22nd. She says dont worry about it

I then get a letter this morning saying my pre surgical assessment is on the 20th at 08:00am. I dont get into Heathrow until 06:30

tl:dr operation cancelled due to bumbling incompetence

Just had a phone call from Mum and his brain scan is clear thankfully but his blood pressure is higher then it should be so they think his nose bleeds could be down to that so he is staying overnight in hospital for observation.

Drove down to Waitrose to-day for a couple of items and the machine that gives you your hand held scanner has stopped working. OK I will go over the otherside of the town to Tescos. Got there and go to get the scanner out. The stupid machine promptly demands my postcode. (must be something new) Can I get it in of course not!!! grrr fortunately helpful Tesco employer manages to do it while saying this one is known to play up.

Only problem left is trying to find the skimmed milk finally realise that they keep it away from the normal milk have it with the the more expensive milk.

@ den I hope your Dad is okay now.

Not really a moan taking Mum to hospital tomorrow not that I mind but the parking is awful even with a blue badge, parking is the hardest part about taking Mum to hospital the parking is a utter nightmare and what grinds me is that many people park in the disabled spaces don't seem to have a blue badge or if they do they fail to display it. All the hospitals Mum attends seem to have this problem whether it's Wishaw, Hairmyres or Monkland's they seem to have the same issues when it comes to parking IMO, but I do have a chuckle when I see the sticker on a vehicle parked on the pavement saying warning do not park here as I'm sure they must be a nightmare to remove.

Dad is picking up slowly now Weenie praise be to god.

Yes l know what you mean as we have exactly the same problem at the hospital l go to as some have no disabled blue badge's at all and we end up waiting 20 to 30 minutes waiting for a spot to present itself to us and that is the reason why we arrive much earlier to the hospital for my appointment so we can get a spot.

Transport again! I cannot believe a company can be so incompetent.

I'm so angry I could crush a grape!

You really don't need more hassle after treatment I tell you. Still I've put in a complaint so hopefully it'll improve.

l remember when l was going to London dilli l would be waiting hours and hours for the transport to arrive even though l was extremely dog tired after a long day of tests and treatment and a lot of the time l would be lucky to get back to Devon before the late evening thus sometimes the day from start to finish before l got back was l had been on the go for 17 hours which is extremely gruelling mentally and physically and the transport company did not care two hoots sadly.

Just received the Council Tax Bill and they have a fantastic new idea. They want you to go online and go paperless! Which really means that if I want hardcopy then I have to print it. All this for 2 sheets of paper and a Refuse Collection schedule. Is it worth it?

Everyone does not have a computer , my friend had a fight to get an appointment to see someone in the council to fill her form for a Blue Badge, They said " you must have a friend with P C to help you, The point is why should she let other people know her business, It was never like this before

Ugh. A great week ruined last night. I was being signed off on produce, the fruit and veg side of things, which if it happened meant I would be in charge of produce. Yeah. That was OK until last night where in 1 tag I failed to check underneath the crates on the bottom shelf and missed 2 whole crates, and on another tag missed a whole shelf of grapes AND missed 3 whole crates.

I'm sad, but I have now come to the reluctant conclusion that I need to make a formal complaint against my manager for bullying.

I would imagine it would be unwise to publish that on a forum.

MalteseFalcon 21-03-2017 04:47

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8

All I will say is that it is an accumulation of lots of small things, which on their own people might just say is not bullying but when it only happens to one person and has built up over 6 months then I think a bullying complaint is justified.

My best friend is in bits, and there is nothing I can do to help him. His mum was rushed to hospital last night with breathing problems and the doctors have told him and his dad that there is a chance she won't come out of hospital. I wish I knew what to say to him.

Have you done a hard reset by holding the power button down for 10 seconds on the console?

All this does is make the console do a clean boot you wont lose anything.

I logged into my One yesterday Hom3r. Try the hard reset, it worked for me when mine froze last month.

The scanners at work. It has been known for months now that they are useless and need replacing, yet they will not spend the money to purchase new equipment. Tight is not even close to describing them.

Yes as we have told our family up the line in that sometimes the elders of the family can be pretty obstinate to say the least Tinky when they are not well so we have told them if you think he needs to see the doc then it is imperative that you take charge and not let the stubborn bugger fob you off and make the appointment for them no matter what he says.
