But as soon as you click the link it says it's too busy, i also can't get DAP, GetRight or StarDownloader to work - just can't get a connection.

As for the 64 bit one, thats blatantly the wrong size. But we have 32 and 64 bit PCs here to try it on.

If you look at post 1 and hit the direct link that gives a iso dvd download which has been downloaded all day not the microsoft link

182.5 but i restarted in Netscape just after the post where i was just under 100, so i could close firefox down so all my cookies for sites marked read.

That's what i mean, this way is the only way i can get the iso to physically DL. I need the 64 bit one too but that looks messed up.

cannot fault that, 245 KB/s for my 2meg connection, so far, using Firefox downloader, very steady :)

The speed keeps up as well, only had it drop by 2kbps over 35mins. Lovely. @ 53% now (1716Mb @ 419kbps)

For some reason the download stops 1.64gig isnt it supposed to 3.12 gig ?

The microsoft links will be working in a few days anyway.Remember all that Vista is good for at the minute is looking at anyway dont be impatient cuz you'll only be disappointed ;)

i think microsoft needid to setup a handfull of mirrors, or even used a torrent like some linux manufacturers have done lately. even there own servers cant cope with the sheer load put on them.
Really they should have learned a couple of weeks ago when msdn/technet/beta testers (via connect) brought there servers to a crawl.

Its a sweet os, and is far more functional than some people here think.
Its also quite stable (however i have killed it a few times) make sure you all have a lot of ram, 1 gig is the minimum i recomend for an install to use all the features.
Also turn off generating thumbnails for videos, i've killed explorer several times doing that! (uses more ram than i've got)

Hopefully i'll be ok with 768MB of RAM... If not then i guess it was not meant to be. But at 86% now i'm not quitting!
