But the defendant accepted it - he pleaded guilty. Do you have actual grounds for thinking it might be something other than ‘they’ say it is or are you just making excuses for wanting to watch a video of people getting maimed?

I was under the impression* that pleading guilty (therefore saving time and money) led to a reduced sentence . . . makes you wonder if pleading not guilty would have got him Life with no parole . . . although 'life' is probably what he's ended up with really.

*no idea if that only applies to silly stuff like shoplifting, writing nasty stuff on social media, or being drunk in charge of an iPhone.

i would like to examine the facts, that's not unheard of is it.

pleading guilty is often just a mechanism for getting a lighter sentence or people are just bullied into it

Funny that you didn’t ask where you could download witness statements then isn’t it. :scratch:

If you actually wanted to satisfy yourself that everything is as reported, you’d be looking for all the evidence available, not just a grainy CCTV sequence of adults and children being deliberately run over.
