Terrible race luckily I was on PS5 at the same time so didn't look at it much.

Mandatory two stops would help the Monaco GP

I decide to watch this as MV was in 6th.

What a waste of time, watching paint dry in rain would have been more fun.

Time Monaco was axed, it was just follow the leader.

There is already a mandatory use of 2 tyre compounds.

Monaco has always been a boring race.

It's a boring sport, whatever the location.

Have to disagree - spent a long weekend in Barcelona watching a GP, and it was great fun (including the race and the practices).

Mmm, just round and round for no good reason really, the fastest car wins.... What's the carbon footprint of it all ? ;)

They could at least make it half interesting and do it on the length of the M62. A journey I did the other day. It took far more driving skill and is more dangerous than F1 circuits.

A rare time i agree with you.

The fascination and fun of just watching cars go round a track does elude me.

Really enjoyed that race, best race of the season, it's a shame Lando didn't get the win when he was ahead and as for the Mercedes what an improvement to those cars.

Hamilton wins British GP for ninth time

Lewis Hamilton won a race-long fight with Max Verstappen and Lando Norris at a gripping, wet-dry British Grand Prix to take his first victory since December 2021.

Hamilton had just enough to hold off a late charge from Verstappen’s Red Bull to take his 104th career win, and his ninth at home to become the record-holder for victories at a single circuit.

Verstappen, who had struggled for pace through much of a race that was hit by two separate periods of rain, came alive in the closing laps to take second place from Norris, who grabbed the final position on the podium.

Hamilton, who was driving in his last British GP for Mercedes before his move to Ferrari next year, appeared to be in tears in the car as he told his team: "This means so much to me," as they congratulated him over the radio.

“This one means a lot to us all,” his engineer Peter Bonnington said. “I love you, Bono,” Hamilton replied.

You have to wonder if he could do that in a Ferrari

I have to say, it was quite emotional, as well as a good race.

If Lando was that much faster than Piastri he should have given him the place back at the soonest opportunity then won it on track.

Instead he just looks like a petulant child who wanted the team to make him their number one driver and they didn't. Sky's coverage, biased as ever, making comparisons with Max was an irrelevant point. He is a number one driver in a team. Your question is what would happen at Ferrari, or Mercedes right now.
