No Hugh.

“Border Force” I’m sure are there to implement ”immigration policy” not set it.

Farage, was advocating an Australian style immigration policy, not their border enforcement controls.

Hope that helps?

No one (except you) suggested they set it - they ensure compliance with it.

Pretty sure enforcement is part of the policy.

Hope that helps…

Some of the country and worlds foremost experts disagree with you but I'll be sure to pass on your opinion to them

Glad he’s won his appeal. The judiciary is the last line of defence when it comes down to common sense. Tyranny led mandates go against the basic concept of freedom of choice and human rights.

Looks like he's won because they deemed it unfair to grant him the visa then cancel it. Be interesting to see if he plays now, certainly going to be the least popular player out there.

It could still be overturned, it’s not over yet.

Saying on the BBC now that he's been arrested??? Saying the immigration minister might have decided to stick 2 up at the judge and just deport him (and automatically ban his return for 3 years!!)

That's the only way a local is going to win the tennis title.

I wonder if the Australian government is seen as not being above the law, in a similar way to how the UK one is?

There is human rights and then there is being a total plonker.
The world does not revolve around him and he should be made to comply just like anyone else.

Fair enough if he chooses a vaccine or not but then he should be prepared for the consequences. He cant go wherever he wants and therfore put others at risk.

It will be part of the culture wars. I suspect GB News presenters will largely take Djokovic's side and play up the underdog/being punished theme.

There's arrogance (on Djokovic's part) and there's vaccination equivalence.

There are experts on this forum who can comment on my words, but it seems to me that notwithstanding what actually went on at Melbourne airport, if you've had Covid twice, you're no less protected than you would have been with the double jab.

Anyway, his lawyers found the necessary wriggle room for him to get off. Fun still to come, I suggest.

My cousin has lived in Oz for over 45 years, public opinion is send him home.

So the government is now going to possibly use it executive powers and deport him, as is there right.

As we reported below, there are just minutes remaining in which Immigration Minister Alex Hawke can use his "personal powers of cancellation" against Novak Djokovic.

However, reports by The Age claim he will not make this decision on Monday. It is currently 9.10pm in Melbourne, Australia.

This means Djokovic is free to enter Australia after an earlier decision to cancel his visa was overturned by a judge.

The newspaper says Mr Hawke will likely make a decision as early as Tuesday.
