Sky dont charge for the box ? really ? ! Im a sky customer and need to pay £249 to upgrade to sky q silver .:erm:

You really don't know how to barter then , I've not heard of anyone paying close to that recently. In such a competitive market you never pay full price , people should always ring and see what they get offered.

Sky's bundles changed today.

I just logged on to see what Q would cost me, for the full Box Sets bundle with UHD, one Q box and one mini (I'm an existing customer in contract on Sky HD).

For me it would be £30 install for the Q box plus £30 install for the mini, monthly cost £31. That's before any negotiation. Not sure about 'fluid viewing', seems like they're doing 'fluid pricing' too...

lol. I think they also revise their pricing depending on how busy they are. They don't want their engineers sitting on their hands one month then rushed to bits the next.

With the many OTT offerings out there now it's a case of shop around the discounts can be eye watering.

Sky offered Sky Q Silver bundle on another forum recently for £12 a month for 12 months.

Freeview and a combination of Netflix/Amazon offers many people more than enough.

...and people are wondering why VM haven't made any announcements about the pricing of a new box which won't launch for at least 4 months!

Well looking they have reduced the box to £99 but they now charge for sky q mini which used to be free but that's for existing customers. The price now will remain the same as before instead of £25 dearer so it is a good deal because the package is no longer dearer for new sky q for £200
