I think Cameron should defect and lead the Labour party. Only real place for the story to go at this point, hell of a plot twist.

Were you honestly advocating Dictatorship over Democracy?

If so, I do not know how honestly you can expect someone to take you at all seriously.

I suspect that 'Out' Labour voters were pretty determined in their view and wouldn't have changed that, even if Jeremy Corbyn had campaigned more. My impression is that Labour are failing to appreciate that their stance on 'In', was not shared by a substantial number of Labour voters. They need to 'get that' and not look for a scapegoat in Corbyn.

And I say that as someone doesn't think Corbyn is the right person to lead the Labour Party. But his reserved/luke-warm support for the EU could make him the right leader for any cross party EU exit negotiations.

It's what called 'humour', it's needed sometimes, (and these are those times)

For which, you have already admitted that you were unsuccessful.

There has needed to be a clean out in the political ranks for a while seems the Westminster village has decided now is the time. Labour parliamentary party may not support corbyn anymore but ordinary members are likely still behind him and if a leadership vote comes up I think he will still get a strong showing. Our politics is such a complete mess at the minute and partly it's down to the EU in terms of being a convenient scapegoat and as the next job for failed domestic politicians now we the public have voted out the political chickens are running around headless.

As I'm not nor will ever be a labour voter not really comfortable about recommending their leadership for them but as a firm believer in our democracy I recognise the need for a strong opposition and we haven't had that during corbyns time as leader. I'm not sure why anyone suddenly expected him to be a tower of strength during the referendum campaign when he hasn't been beforehand.

Our politics has gone ever more cronky since we had the Conservatives field people like Hague & IDS on that side, and then everyone was conned by Blair for a good while, and the Labour party turned into ToryLite

Our entire politics have been a joke for a while, and are badly in need for some modernising. They don't fit the 21st Century at all, couple that with Gen Snowflake and the 'We need safe spaces to debate' lot and drastic change is desperately required

I wonder how another AV type vote would go now, instead of the FPTP?

For all the 'GenSnowflake' nonsense it's worth remembering that the new generations of young people don't get the support their parents did. Tuition frees tripled, benefits slashed and unaffordable house prices. Not to mention having to access the job market in the aftermath of 2008....The task of paying back the deficit has been placed largely on their shoulders.
