I haven't been able to use Google Chrome to log in to MyVirginMedia since yesterday. No problems using IE. This is all part of moving away from Google?

Can log in fine here with Chrome. Don't normally use it but it was installed with Windows 10.

I'm on @blueyonder at the moment I take it that I will be staying on that and not getting moved to @virginmedia.cheers

Yes - it's the platform technology that is changing, not your email address.

Blueyonder will be moved over to the platform as with ntl etc, as I'm on blueyonder email and was moved a few weeks ago.

Their spam filters need to be better though, not as good as Google's

At the moment. I would think that Google's SPAM filters have had years of 'in-life' training to get it to where it is now.

Virgin Media's new email platform is new - as more customers are moved over and train the filters it will improve.

Blueyonder email has now been moved to the new mail platform.

The first ntlworld.com email addresses will start being migrated from today - August 31st.

virginmedia.com/emailswitch has some really helpful information

My ntlworld email running on Thunderbird ceased to work a week ago.... attempts by Virgin staff have now wiped out some 20k messages on my pc after I gave them 123repair.com access..... they said the system is down througout the uk and to call back in 24 hours. What a mess.

Re: Virgin email moving away from Google

I know that one of my ntlworld accounts has moved as the spam rule that I had changed has now gone back to the default of reject all.

I needed to change it as one of my clients seems to be blacklisted as a spam source (hijacked server) even though that has since been rectified and Google advised.
