Working OK here too. Just emailed one of my Gmail addresses which auto-forwards to one of my ntlworld accounts, went there and back almost instantly!

Still no joy for me - seems to only be affecting Outlook, Windows mail and mobile mail apps. Can use webmail ok.

POP server pings OK for me.

http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/at...8&d=1409851079

DNS resolves OK.

Additional: I'm using Google DNS as primary (8.8.8.8) this MAY be a VM DNS server problem. Try setting Google DNS as your primary.

I resolved this by changing IMAP from imap.ntlworld.com to imap.virginmedia.com. Everything else stayed the same

Still not working for me, I use Thunderbird on a Macbook Pro.
It's annoying as I have to have 3 web browsers open.

I followed Wicked and Crazy's lead and changed from pop3.ntlworld.com to pop3.virginmedia.com and all seems to be working ok.
All my emails have now arrived.

Mod's please change thread title as this is not a DNS issue. The IMAP pop3 and SMTP Ntlworld server have been remove

Re: Email (DNS) issue (ntlworld.com)

There's been nothing from Virgin either directly or on their web page to indicate this is happening.

NTLworld.com servers are working fine for me using Thunderbird and Google DNS.

My parents received some info saying they would soon not be able to access email this way. However they weren't clear on what was happening

Is google DNS resolving the names to the same as the ntlworld servers? I wonder if there is a change that is taking time to replicate through

Re: Email (DNS) issue (ntlworld.com)

There are no plans to decommission any of the existing email IMAP, POP or SMTP names.
