Re: Virgin Media destroying the planet?

I assumed you would:

3. Put it in a heart shaped picture frame :romance:

4. Add it to your complete collection of VM memorabilia, sorted by year

Or something similar to that :)

Nope. Going to do the right and sensible thing and re-cycle it.

I really don't know why anyone in their right mind would do anything else

1. How long have you been wasting your time doing this for?
2. What makes you think what you're doing will have any effect as it clearly hasn't yet?
3. Haven't you got anything better and more productive to do?

BTW are you a Doctor, so you now know my state of mind is as well .

1. I do it because they have no right to spam me when i have asked them NOT to.

2. If it costs them money in exchange for invading my letter box when they have been told not to it can only be a good thing.

3. i have got lots of things to do however i could get lots more done if that did not include dealing with there spam, now you may think because you don't mind it that we must be the same as you and as usual you would be wrong, We are not all the same as you and some of us don't like being SPAMMED.

And finally YOU would have more time on your hands if you did not have to RECYLE unwanted mail shots that are wasting natural resources in the first place and that have NOT been requested in the first place.

Plus sending spam from one company back to another is a rather amusing thing to do.

I've started filling in forms with completely bonkers names just to see how far they get into their systems. The people who have to input these into their systems must have no souls, they will accept any name. Also, when you get post addressed to "Sir Captain Fantastic Earl of Tea" you know for sure it's junk, rather than needing to waste time to open it. Then it just gets popped back in another return envelope to continue its merry journey.

I bought a TV from Morrisons and they gave me a form to fill in for the TV licence, nowhere on that form does it say you have to fill out your REAL details. I put Donald Duck down as the name and the address as The BBC, Media City Broadway Salford, Manchester :)

That was a general comment. Not my fault you took it personally.

And they aren't doing so, specifically. As previously stated these are general, non-specific "mail-bomb" campaigns. Nothing they can do about it.

No it can't. I want them to spend money on products and services. Please stop wasting my monthly subscription.

The stop doing so and just bin/recycle it like everyone else!

Not at all.

As are you.

It takes me no time at all to put stuff in my recycling. And I am happy to do so. Saving the planet and all that. Which is more than you're doing.

Hang on here is an idea, save money by not carpet bombing the same address every ruddy month. When they stop sending me crap I will stop sending it back, it is that simple

You think a company like VM are going to stop doing marketing to attract new customers? Seriously?:confused:

Re: Virgin Media destroying the planet?

My oversubscribed ubr is not going to be fixed for another 5 months due to sirius wasting the hardware upgrade cash by receiving VM mailshots. Time to cross sirius off my xmas card list...

Edit:Mod EDIT! Do not mention reps in public please. I refer you to http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/35295118-post9.html

Advertise "yes"

Carpet bomb the same address 4 times in a month and that address has FULL services is in fact wasting money and valuable resources.

Carl for once please admit that just because you think its a good idea does not make it a good idea to carpet bomb every house every week with mail shots. You really do think your the fountain of all knowledge and we must agree to your way of thinking dont you.

I absolutely agree that four times in one month is too much, but - as I said before - there's no way they can remove individual addresses from such a technique.

I do agree. That wasn't the point I was trying to make though.

Do you not agree that it is impossible to say "we want to you to deliver these to every house in this postcode area except [address]"; especially as they may not even know who has cable in the area and who doesn't?

No.

Please keep matters civil please.

The usual reminder of if you can't deal with an individual then please either use the ignore function or try your hardest to ignore them in the thread or just plain leave the thread
