I was pushing for Andy Murray however got to go with Nicola Adams.

Adams defeated Mary Kom from India in the Flyweight semi-final before defeating world number one Ren Cancan in the final to claim the first Olympic women's boxing Gold medal in history. Her dominant performances were a highlight of the Games.

Unlike many others on the list, Nicola has since shown she has a great personality in her public, TV and radio appearances. A true real role model and pioneer for womens boxing.
