Can't see how BT can make money on this without being on Virgin and Sky. Wonder how they will market their rights?

The next few months are going to be very interesting.

Hopefully from 2013 Virgin will be paying ESPN peanuts and will be able to spend the money elsewhere!

Sky might have to offer both BT and VM full SkySports in HD to recover monies? upping prices in the process.

The Premier League will make 3.018 Billion which is 71% up on last time. Gosh that is some going, who is going to end up paying?

Yes, but BT want to increase their customer base...and they compete with Virgin on broadband...so one guess would be they will use that to entice more customers for broadband and tv

Great news for BT's TV business. Add their network build (quite capable of showing live TV channels) and that's a HUGE win for them.

Will they broadcast in HD? Can VM do a deal with BT? What happens now with ESPN? XL pack looking weaker now. And where the hell was AJ?

Not to happy about this, ESPN was probably one of the main reasons a lot of XL customers got XL, just as I was looking forward to watching the games on the new tivo in my bedroom as well. So what will ESPN do, will they try and get rights to show Championship games and what will virgin do to try and persuade customers to stay on the xl package
