DMOL, the organisation overseeing the management of the digital terrestrial television platform in the UK has today confirmed that there will be a reshuffle of Freeview channel numbers around midday on the 19th September 2012.

Before it switches to HDMI for my Tivo, I often see the "new channels available" notification on my TV but it never actually tells me what changes have occurred and I can never spot them. :( Would be nice if it did that :)

Al Jazeera English will go 24 hours a day on Freeview channel 83 from 19th September 2012, the day of the planned Freeview EPG reshuffle.
