Re: 500GB tivo

Re: 500GB tivo
I have a V+ and a Standard Box and wonder what the options are with a 500gb Tivo.
Would it replace the V+ Box or could I replace the standard box with one. Are there extra charges with the 2nd option and would I then not have to pay the £5 Monthly charge I already pay. |
Re: 500GB tivo
You could choose to replace whichever box you wanted.
If you kept your V+ box then any appropriate fees for that box would apply along with the approrpriate TiVo fee |
Re: 500GB tivo
Thanks for that Ben as might help convince Mrs that having a 2nd recordable box upstairs would be great for her.
Cheers |

Re: 500GB tivo
Can you still use a AV sender on the TiVo box ?
Need output with menus if possible. |

I like the idea of keeping one of my V+ boxes until the SS red button and music on demand issues are sorted out. |

Re: 500GB tivo
You would pay an additional box fee of £6.50 as you would three boxes and the TiVo fee. You would also need to make sure you made it clear that's what you wanted doing at order, otherwise it wouldn't happen

I told my wife the 1/2 TB one was only £25 cheaper than 1 TB and she insisted I get 1 TB one :o) |

Freeview HD recorders may initially be expensive, but they all have two tuners, with one of them (Digistream) allowing you record 2 and watch live tv at the same time. OK - you can argue that there isn't as much choice with regards to channels, but to be honest, the amount of American TV series that get canned after only one or two seasons I'm starting to wonder whats the point with the extra channels anyway! I'm still on the sidelines as what to do with regards to my Virgin TV. Must say though, I'm still very happy with both the broadband and telephone service. |
