Re: Tech Guy did it perfect
I know everyone will sigh at me for ignoring the no feeding signs but according to the 'Finally Arrives Here' thread you started on 13 March:

If you manage to go for 18 months without changing to a different package I could be tempted to pay your 19th months broadband for you, not that I think for a minute I'll be getting my cheque book out!! Cheers Grim |

Re: Tech Guy did it perfect
I'm confused as to how anyone can manage to upgrade and downgrade in such a short space of time .Each new package would require a new contract surely ?

I still think its a pile of rubbish myself, there is other ways. Oh and btw ATDMA is a modulation type. Overall I would prefer SCDMA over ATDMA. EDIT: I remember me and pip having a discussion about this, but pip just opened up a new thread and didn't bother to respond :P |

http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/35230501-post2.html VM are not actually using scdma on docsis2 then? sounds like a mode that would help latency. It does seem VM are barely utilising docsis2, no qam64 and no scdma. |

Cmon Pip put it into your own words surely you got taught that at school :)
What it doesn't say even though it is the same max throughput, ATDMA due to its time sloted upstream channels can cause packet loss when sending data packets to a destination, etc. Again SCDMA is superior, in the fact as said it can handle 128QAM and use TCM. And Asynchronous upstream channels, even to us it is unnoticeable for the ATDMA timeslots but to the modem etc it is eternity :P |

is there one ? |
Re: Tech Guy did it perfect
I saw Telford posting modem stats, and assumed that 100mb uses ATDMA upstream, so said... but it seems to have turned into a debate. Which is more entertaining than Telford.
