Your making a statement does not make anything fact, it doesn't make you right either. The least you could do is provide a link to the scource of your belief/information which I did! Pip

Actually, you won't find anyone less arrogant that me.

Anyway... whatever :rolleyes:That's a matter of opinion! Pip

Pip. I can't quote your post now but...

What could I post? Emails and screen-shots can both be faked. You could trust me, like I would trust you :)

But I have attached a screen-shot anyway.

Also, you provided no source for your assertion that ...

Well I know for a fact that do as I have been one of the Monitoring team since its inception.

arrogant?? nah not you mate....not the way you replied to one of my posts disbelieving my quote of "hundreds if not thousands" of gamers having probs on VM when you could just go and look for yourself BEFORE you say you dont believe

506 gamers shouting about their connection in ONE post....yeah id say i was correct in my numbers

arrogant= sense of ones own self-importance

yep that describes most of your posts :)

Quite right too. What you percieve as arrogance is simply a disbelief in hyperbole.

I don't need to go and look. It happens all the time.

Firstly, is that 506 individual people or just a 506-post-long thread with multiple replies from multiple people?

Also.... that's hundreds. Where's the "thousands"?

You see... the thing about forums such as these and VMs Official ones is that people will complain but they will rarely compliment. In other words, you don't see the thousands of customers who are perfectly happy with their services posting as such. Which is fair enough. But that also does not mean that problems are as widespread as they may appear.

Don't get me wrong. One un-happy customer is one too many! That's not the point though.

Your screen shot, as mine below, only confirms you have the SamKnows monitoring equipment and states nor proves a thing about it being for VM only.

As stated previously, the VM trial lasted 6 mths and was extended by SamKnows as General ISP monitoting ibn conjunction with OFCOM and not solely as a VM one.

The link I gave tells you that it is in conjunction with Ofcom, in case you missed it here it is again.http://www.samknows.com/broadband/ofcom_and_samknows

Why you would want to obscure the results is a mystery as well as there is no confidentiality clause attached to it either.

Normally you would get it within 2 weeks but due to the Easter weekend there will be delays.

It's a linksys, The link you refer to is for ordinary routers with the SamKnows system embedded which is something different.

your first quote sums you up....you ARE arrogant

second line.... you just admitted that THERE IS a problem

third....i said hundreds IF not thousands...the word IF is the point

fourth.... if there was thousands of happy customers why havnt they posted in the forum???????? in the last week ive seen one....yes ONE

fifth.... you are quite correct in that one unhappy customer is one too many.....so how come the THOUSANDS of posters on the forums ARE UNHAPPY????

sixth...not the point though????? im sorry but to use an case study....out of thousands of car buyers there was only ONE person happy...that car company would either go bust or FIX THE PROBLEM

seventh...not the point???? that just shows how arrogant you are of other peoples woes with VM

lastly...if u draw a little moustache on you pic you would look like hitler :dozey::dozey:

Which is why I emailed the Support team to ask them and they confirmed it with the quote I mentioned previously.

You can, therefore, do the same thing if you like.

I have never said there wasn't a problem!

Well it was hundreds, not thousands so the hyperbole was not required.

Already explained this in my previous reply. You know... the one you're quoting

They have MILLIONS of customers.

I wasn't aware that a potentially-faulty broadband connection could kill anyone  In other words... lousy analogy.

I'm sure VM either are fixing or will fix the problem eventually.

Erm... no. Not sure how you come to that conclusion because we both agree that "one unhappy customer is one too many". I'd say that was quite empathetic myself.

(Watch as you now try to be funny and chop the "em" off the start of that word and throw it back at me! Go on! You know you want to )

Ahhh yes. A sure sign you've lost the argument is to compare whatever it is to the Nazis :)

Nice twist. Same applies to both those with problems and those without, of course.

Yeah, okay

They had to recall all the cars because a fault one could possibly be fatal. This would not happen with a faulty internet connection.

If it needs explaining then you need a better analogy :)

Well I'm no expert so how would I know. I do know that it's probably not just a matter of flicking a switch or changing a setting on something.

Some faults, especially intermittent ones (ie that don't affect everyone) can be hard to trace. Parts may be needed that might take some time. Any number of things really.
