there is settings to change the lights which were found when SSH was enabled, but obviously we cant do that now

I think we now know why virgin were in such a rush to get out the SSH blocking firmware. Not security reasons, they just really like those bleemin lights.

No it's on the website and you have to click disable on the website to stop it pinging your IP.

So, in summary - this whole thread was because the OP had forgotten he had implemented something on a website that sent traffic to his modem, which made the top blue light flash?

Not only that, he agreed to it when he decided to become a SamKnows tester! 2GB/month up and down.

very annoying

Turned mine side on, and put a piece of black electricians tape over the blue network led, it was driving me mad, lit up the room at night as if I had a Panda car parked in the drive :erm:

Now I'm just providing an illuminated Virgin Logo to all and sundry, clever these VM folk, free advertising in all home's with a superhub, got to hand it to the publicity department "genius"

Do you have think broadband monitor running?

if not and its just occasionally then is jus the hub synching with the cmts (bit router where all the modems connect to)

If its constantly flashing and not down to any of those check your router log to see if there is errors in the log :)

We have our hub behind the tv, tv does a good job of hiding it :)
