we're all Gods people. if God really doesn't approve of gays. then let him say so in the way of a sign or something. instead of letting us believe the word of a few of his closest followers.

He has according to some religious people in the way of floods and crap like that LOL

I do love how tolerance is preached and absolutely right so long as it's in one direction. Zero point in giving these guys free publicity by getting outraged. This is something that has to be actively sought out and downloaded and if not this app there are plenty of other sources of content that will attempt to convince someone to change their sexual orientation.

The best reaction to this nonsense is usually indifference. The same indifference that homosexuality should be treated with.

I understand that some homosexuals like it to be indifferent....

Don't worry - none of us have iphones.

Can you imagine any of us wanting to be associated with someone who dresses like this? ;)

Well, there's another victory for those who think that only allowing correct thinking is more important than allowing free thinking.

Although, as you say, given that Apple has made itself a hostage to fortune by choosing to vet every iPad app, the outcome is not surprising.

Apple's Store has never been about free thinking. As you say they vet every app and therefore choose what they associate their platform with. Ultimately suggesting homosexuality is something that can (and should) be cured is not something they wanted to be involved with.

It would be more to the point if the offended 80,000 actually got rid of their iPhones in a true protest.

Oh I know that - the App Store is an extension of Apple's corporate brand. But Apple is suffering today because it allowed the app in the first place, which tells all those who object that, in and of itself, Apple didn't think there was anything wrong with it.

Apple is a hostage to fortune because it is known to pre-moderate everything. Therefore everything it allows onto the store has implicit approval and association with the brand.

What I find slightly depressing in all this is not Apple's behaviour, but the intolerant behaviour of the objectors, who have actively moved to suppress the expression of a world view and a way of living that they disagree with. After years of campaigning against that sort of suppression in their own lives you would have thought they would have known better.

But then I've never believed that one group of people persecuting another group of people for what they believe is the exclusive preserve of religion, so while it's depressing, it's not surprising.
